Author's note:
This chapter includes cursing that I could not leave out.

Did I write a Christmas chapter?
Yes
Even I don't know why
But here's a Christmas chapter

Also, sorry for not updating for long. I was busy and my inspiration wore off.

November slowly ended and December rolled around. This meant several things. Other than the approach of winter break awaited by all students, classrooms slowly started to fill with Christmas decorations. But most importantly for Daisy, they got their names for Secret Santa. She never understood why schools have to do this. Usually, it just resulted in empty gifts from people you barely knew. If you did get a gift from someone who actually liked you, it was as a result of switching names with others.

Their homeroom teacher had the names of the class in a bag on his desk and instructed each of them to go to his desk and pull one.

"Cause that is so much easier than having the bag go around the classroom," Daisy mumbled. Her dislike for the thing grew even more when she read the name on the piece of paper her fingers caught. "Grant Ward". Daisy let her face fall, but didn't express just how much she hated what she got until she got back to her seat. She grumbled and let her head fall to her desk.

"That bad?" Mike asked beside her. Daisy handed Mike the paper with a grumble.

"Ouch!"

"I'm guessing you don't wanna switch?" Daisy tried, turning her head toward him.

"No one's gonna want to switch with you."

Daisy sat up.

"And if I give Ward any kind of gift, he'll think it's because I'm so madly in love with him," she said annoyed.

"Guess you'll just have to remember the spirit of the holiday," Mike tried.

"No spirit of any holiday could make this better." Daisy sat back and sighed. "Who'd you get?"

"Not much better," Mike said, he too sounding annoyed all of the sudden. He showed Daisy the paper and she read the name on it. "Robbie Reyes".

"Lucky bastard!"

"Maybe in your eyes."

"Right! You two have that feud."

"It's not a feud, it's reasonable distrust," Mike insisted.

"Guess you'll just have to remember the spirit of the holiday," Daisy said with a smug smile.

Mike sat back in his chair annoyed and Daisy had a triumphant look on her face.

"So who did you get?" Daisy asked Robbie while they were outside, not on forbidden ground for once.

"I'm not supposed to say," Robbie said simply.

"Didn't take you for a big Secret Santa player."

"I'm not. Gabe is." Robbie said, slightly annoyed. "He'll kill me if he finds out I've cheated in any way. That includes telling others who I got and attempting to switch with others."

"So I guess I can't convince you to switch with me," Daisy concluded.

"Sorry, no. Why, who did you get?"

"Ward."

"Eesh!"

"Which means I either have to find someone that doesn't hate him or deal with his insistence on my gift-giving being out of love for him."
