WHEN AMANDA WALLER COMES CALLING, YOU HAVE TO ANSWER. After a disastrous break-in attempt at Wayne Enterprises, metahuman Sophie Gupta finds herself locked in Belle Reve. Being stuck in this prison is not idea, when all she has done is help people by stealing from Gotham's elite. So, even though her telekinetic powers are currently suppressed, Sophie lies in wait, planning her escape from this shithole of a prison.
However, six months into her three year prison sentence, she is pulled out of her cell by Amanda Waller, a freakishly intimidating woman, and her colleague, the utterly grumpy (and very attractive) Colonel Rick Flag. They offer her a chance - a chance at redemption and a chance to completely reduce her prison sentence. And all it will take is joining a team with some extremely bad people to defeat a deadly evil and save humanity from total and complete destruction.
Sophie Gupta is no hero and neither does she care about a world that has shown her zero kindness. But for a chance to get out of Belle Reve and to use her powers again, she is willing to put on that goddamn fake mask and put on the moniker Gotham gave her. The vigilante Shadow is now back in action and ready to fight.
