Link's eyes widened as the scourge screeched with pain as hundreds of explosions ruptured against his body. He knew it was the work of the Divine Beasts, but when the smoke around him cleared, Calamity Ganon started to pick himself up from the ground without as much as a wobble.

"Was that...," you had started to say as you pulled your sword out, though it seemed insignificant next to the ones the monster before you held. Despite the powerful blast, Calamity Ganon pushed himself up like it was nothing, and the overbearing thought of failing began to cast over your head.

Your mind could barely keep up with you as you looked over every detail of the scourge before he rammed his ax down. Link and you both dodged the blow by running in different directions, but when the weapon met the ground, fire erupted and balls of flames were shot.

You could feel the heat on your back as you barely escaped, but updrafts immediately burst from the ground, and when you glanced back you saw Link use it to his advantage.

He had flown high enough with the paraglider to be above Ganon, and when the monster looked up to direct a beam at him with one of his Guardian-like hands, Link drew out his bow and let an arrow fly. The pierce of the regular arrow stunned the scourge for mere seconds, but that didn't stop you from sprinting straight to its massive body.

Perhaps it was reckless, but you slashed your sword against one of Ganon's legs which in turn earned painful cries until blue glowed above you.

"(Y/N)!" Link shrieked in time to alert you of the blade that hung above your head. It was twice your size and blazed blue with its ancient technology as Ganon drove it down. Had it not been for Link's shout, you wouldn't have been able to throw yourself to the side on time, which resulted in a bad fall as the weapon sent shocks against the ground.

You scrambled up as he prepared another attack, but Link slid to you in the blink of an eye, shield already out to block a deadly blast before parrying it back to him.

The blonde grabbed your arm protectively and pulled you up as Ganon moved to the edge of the dome with a shriek of minute disorientation–a mere flicker of weakness as the blast had not hit his eyes, which crackled in fury as it scaled the dome.

Ganon was toying with you both, circling and taunting like the prey he saw you as, but he was wrong. Just as he readied his spear, you shot the last of your ancient arrows. One after the other, and every zing as the arrows met their target with precision like no other gave you more and more confidence.

When the scourge fell onto the ground, Link and you charged toward him, swords out as electricity crackled. Urbosa's power hummed and electrified the air, and when both of your swords slashed deeply into Ganon, lightning crackled and struck the monster into submission.

You didn't stop. Neither of you did as something took over both of your minds. The master sword sang with conquest with every cut, every stab, and its power fueled Link with unknown power as Ganon began to pick himself up.

Pure desperation made him slam onto the ground in some attempt to crush one of you but as Link called upon Urbosa's power once more, you twisted to the side and plunged your blade into the exposed part of Ganon's body. Lightning didn't bring him down this time, but malice, and decay, poured from his injuries as you faltered back.

The purple and black mix coated the edges of your blade, oozing to the ground and gurgling before the all-too-powerful sound of another cry tore the dome.

"Bit of a crybaby," Link mumbled, out of breath as he joined your side. You sent him a look, but any smugness that etched his lips vanished when Calamity Ganon brought its front arms together and harnessed a fiery red sphere around himself. The blazing color strapped onto his skin, making his body burn bright with intensity.
