"Come on, boys. " I said and got out of the car after parking it in our underground garage. Leo and Dylan hopped out of the car and ran towards the stairs, which led to the house. I took their school bags and followed them.
Entering the living room where all of my kids were, I found them all sitting around Leo, who was showing them something. Getting closer, I realized that it was a photo album.
"Mamma!" yelled Aiden, coming to hug me as he noticed me. "Hey baby," I chuckled, picking him up and kissing his cheeks. "Mamma, come look at the photos with us!"
I smiled and sat down, Ella crawled over to me, so I positioned her on my lap.
"Ella looks like Papa." Dylan was pointing at the picture from the day Noah was born. I was in the bed holding Noah, and my husband, Anton, was standing beside the bed holding the twins, Adam and Aiden, while Leo and Dylan stood in front of him.
"Yes, you all look like Papa, but Ella and Leo the most." I told them. It was true. Leo was the younger version of Anton with his black hair and deep blue eyes. Ella had her fathers blue eyes and dark hair, even though her hair wasn't as dark as Leo's.
The next ten minutes we spent looking through the album, while the kids made jokes about each other. I then put the album away and told Leo and Dylan to change out of their school uniforms and do their homework.
Now I am sitting at the dining table, reading e-mails that Adrian sent me. He was my husband's best friend, who is now helping me to take care of the business until Leo is eighteen.
Leo and Dylan were sitting on the seats beside me, doing their homework, and Noah was drawing. The twins and Ella were watching a movie in the living room.
Soon, I heard Ella's little steps approaching me as her laughter grew. "Mam," she squealed, and I turned around to see her running in my direction. I opened my arms, and she quickly ran into them.
"Why are you running?" I questioned her and removed the hair strands that were in her face. She pointed her finger in the direction of the door. "Aidy," she smiled.
"That's no fair." Whined Leo suddenly, and I looked at him, raising an eyebrow at him."What isn't fair?"
"Ella." He answered, looking at her, and I immediately knew where this was going. "She has a nickname for Aiden but not for me." He pouted, causing me to chuckle. "She is just a baby, and she calls you Leo, so she calls you by your nickname." I explained.
"But all of you call me Leo, and she is the only one to call Aiden Aidy." He glared, "Oh baby, trust me, she loves all of you equally." I told him.
Leo, being the oldest, wants to be Ella's favorite, and to be honest, it seems like he is the one she likes the most, but that doesn't matter because she likes all of her brothers. And for them, she is their everything.
"Ti amo Leo." Uttered Ella, gazing at her upset older brother. Soon enough, the twins came into the dining room to tell me about the movie they were watching.
A smile grazed my lips at the sight of all my kids in front of my eyes - happy, carefree, and together.
