Ethan exchanged confused looks with Abigail and Rebecca, wondering if Adam was acting or if the blow he took really affected his memory.

"You don't remember?" Ethan asked him, his voice tinged with frustration and curiosity. "You kidnapped Abigail. You took her against her will on a yacht, you wanted to shoot me. You don't remember any of that?"

Adam's eyes widened, a flash of recognition passing through them. He winced in pain as he tried to sit up, and the officers standing nearby remained vigilant, making sure he didn't make any sudden movements.

"I… I don't remember." Adam muttered in confusion. "I don't know what you are talking about. I only know that my body hurts terribly, especially my head. If it is possible, I would ask you to leave. Your presence disturbs me." He said with a frown of pain. The nurse immediately interjected, "The patient has just regained consciousness, and he has sustained serious injuries. I think it would be really good if you all got out."

Ethan felt anger rising inside him. He clenched his fists in helplessness, and Abigail gently took his shoulder and gestured with her head towards the door. Ethan reluctantly nodded in response to Abigail's silent gesture, accepting the nurse's request. "Good." He said in a voice laced with frustration. "We'll leave for now. But remember, Adam, this isn't over. You'll get what you deserve, one way or another."

With that, Ethan turned away from Adam's hospital bed, Abigail following behind him. Rebecca lingered for a moment, her eyes fixed on Adam, before she too left the room.

Once outside, Ethan leaned against the wall, hands still clenched into fists. Abigail stood beside him, stroking his hand, "Don't worry, Ethan. Even if he doesn't remember anything, he won't be able to get away with it, all the evidence points against him. And Rebecca will testify, everything will be fine."

Ethan took a deep breath and nodded, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside him. "I hope you're right."

Rebecca joined them, her eyes filled with determination. "I will do whatever it takes to help."

Ethan nodded at her with a slight smile, then turned to Abigail. "Abigail, something just occurred to me. What do you say we go on a vacation before Adam's trial? Maybe it would do us good to forget about everything for a while, to leave the past where it belongs. What do you think?"

Abigail's eyes lit up at the suggestion, a hint of excitement replacing the tiredness on her face. She looked at Ethan with a mixture of gratitude and anticipation. "I think that's a wonderful idea, Ethan. We could use a rest after everything."

Ethan's smile grew even wider as he saw Abigail accept the idea. "Great! Let's make it happen! We'll choose a beautiful destination where we can relax and focus on rebuilding our lives. Somewhere peaceful, away from chaos and stress."

As they discussed the details of their upcoming vacation, Ethan's phone suddenly rang. He took it out and looked at the screen, then at Abigail and Rebecca.

"Who's calling?" Abigail asked him.

"Adaburg Police Station." Ethan's voice held a mixture of surprise and curiosity as he answered the call from the Adaburg Police Station. Abigail and Rebecca exchanged confused looks, waiting to hear what the call was about.

"Hello?" Ethan greeted the caller on the other end of the line. His brows furrowed as he listened intently to the person on the phone. After a few moments of conversation, Ethan's surprise turned into a wide smile, his eyes shining with delight. "That's amazing news! Thank you for letting me know." He ended the call and turned to Abigail and Rebecca, unable to contain his excitement. "Guess what?" He exclaimed, his voice filled with joy. "They found my missing things that were stolen from me upon arrival in Adaburg."

Abigail and Rebecca exchanged surprised looks.

"Things that were stolen from you? Well that's great!" Abigail exclaimed, her face breaking into a smile.

"Yeah, at least there's some good in all this madness." Ethan couldn't hide the happiness on his face.

"If only we could resolve this with Adam so that we can enjoy our vacation in peace." Abigail said, sighing. Just then, one of the policemen who was standing on the side joined their conversation, "If you want, it might be a good idea to go home, you certainly need a rest after everything. And as for Adam, don't worry about anything. He'll stay here under observation for a while until he recovers, and then we'll bring him to the station. We'll let you know when the trial comes. No matter what he says or what he tries to get away with, he's guaranteed many years in prison. You can relax and go on your vacation without fear."

Ethan, Abigail, and Rebecca listened intently to the officer's assurances, and a sense of relief washed over them.

"I think he's right, we should go home." Rebecca said. Ethan agreed with her, "I think so too. Thank you for everything officer. Keep us updated on Adam."

The officer nodded, and Ethan, Abigail, and Rebecca left the building with relief.

As they walked towards the place where the ship that sails to Adaburg was, Ethan reassured Abigail, "From now on, everything will be better, you'll see. Soon we'll be able to start a new life. Who knows, if we like the place where we'll be vacationing, maybe we'll even stay there."

"That might not be a bad idea." Abigail said with a smile.

As they walked, the sun slowly disappeared behind the clouds, as did the pain in their hearts. They felt that things would start to get better from that moment on. And the feeling didn't deceive them.
