it's the first day of school since winter break. my little sister vivi woke me up frantically. i look at the clock and it was 7:45 and matt was supposed to pick us up in 15 min. i got up so i could get ready in time. i didn't put any makeup on and threw my hair into a bun. i grabbed my white cropped tank top, black jeans and my converse.

(this is the fit) i got downstairs just in time. i heard a honk from my driveway. vivi and i left the house and got into the backseat with lilly and nick. matt started to drive right when we got into the car. matt broke the silence, "it took you long enough." "you can wait 2 minutes matthew, it's not the end of the world." i said "you're only think about yourself, you intolerant piece of shit." matt mumbled "ok, whatever matt." i said with a frown. i hoped people don't actually view me like that. i never want to make everything about myself and matt knows that. we picked up oliver and went to mcdonald's for breakfast. we finally got to school so i could forget about what just happened in the car. when we walked in we got out 2nd semester schedules. our friend group went around looking to see if we had any classes together. i had first hour with nick and lilly, second hour with oliver and chris, 3rd and 4th with lilly, 5th with everyone except for vivi cause she's a sophomore and we're seniors. then i looked at my 6th and 7th hour. "wait guys, does anyone have chemistry for sixth or history for seventh?" i asked matt groaned and said he had both of those classes. i looked at everyone else shaking there heads. " oh great, two classes with bernard over here." i said sarcastically. matt cringed hearing his middle name. "don't call me that. you know i know your middle name too." "yeah, you do but its not as bad as bernard so," matt groaned. "it's gonna be a long two hours with you." "shut it, bernard." you said with a smile. "alright, well i'm gonna go to class." vivi spoke up. "ok, see ya soon via!" lilly yelled as vivi walked away. i smiled, i'm so glad my little sister and my friends get along well.
the rest of the day was boring. it's 4th hour now and lilly and i are talking. "don't you think it's funny that you and matt have chemistry together?" i choke on the water that i was drinking. what does she mean? i looked at her with wide eyes. "i mean the class izzy!" "oh! i thought- you know what never mind. i mean i guess it's kinda funny but i'm just upset i have two classes alone with him!" i say. "yeah but maybe this will make you guys have chemistry." lilly adds with a smirk. "lillian peters, absolutely not. he is the bane of my existence!" i spoke shocked she would think that. "oh come on izzy, you know you've thought about him like that." "whatever lils you're crazy." i say to her "not as crazy as matt makes you feel." lilly says. i look at her with my mouth agape.
time skip to 6th hr( just after lunch) i felt a little weird with matt after lilly and i's talk during 4th hour. do people really think that matt and i have something going on? i mean, i thought it was a joke with the fans. i looked at the board and saw who i was sitting next to. matt. of course, the one person i don't want to speak to. i sat down and read the rest of the board. we have to do a project with your shoulder partner. i look over at matt. "there is no way in hell i'm being your partner." i state. "good, i definitely don't want to be your partner anyway." he said back i raised my hand and asked if we could change partners. "sorry to disappoint ms. gomez but you and mr. sturniolo either work together or fail." she says as sweetly as possible. i just smile and nod excepting defeat. "oh yay! i get to work with my favorite person ever! isa!" matt says sarcastically i kicked his leg from under the desk. "could you be anymore insufferable?" i ask genuinely. "that depends, can you be anymore unbearable?" he replies in the same tone. i looked at him. this is gonna be a long 4 months.
after my classes with matt school was done so we went home. i was texting jj and laughing during the car ride. "who are you texting whose making you smile like that?" oliver asked quite loudly. "no one" i said while trying to hide my phone after turning it off. before i could put it under my leg fully lilly got ahold of it. "lilly, i trusted you with my password!" i told the girl. "can you guys just say who she was texting and shut up, i'm trying to drive!" matt said clearly annoyed. "OMG! she's texting jj!" lilly announced to the whole car. "WHAT? my older brother jj?!" oliver questioned. i nodded my head slowly. when i looked up a saw an angry matt glaring at me through the mirror. he had a clenched jaw and his knuckles were turning white because of how hard he was holding onto the steering wheel. that made me confused, why was matt so mad? " you guys have a date in 2 weeks?!" nick asked rather excited. "it's a study date so it's nothing special but yeah i guess so." i replied "when i said chemistry i meant with m-" i covered lilly's mouth before she said matt's name. vivi was laughing so hard the whole time. once we got dropped off at home she wouldn't stop bugging me about it until we got into my room. "you definitely like jj OR do you like matt? he seemed pretty upset when they mentioned jj." vivi said. "i don't like matt vi. i don't know why he was so upset, he always has something up his ass. i can't believe you think i like him." i state "izzy, i may be younger but i'm not blind." she says "ok whatever, get out of here ok?" i push her towards the door. once she leaves i sigh and lay down. i scroll on tik tok until it's time for bed. i try not to think about matt, instead i focus on my date with jj that's in 2 weeks.
