Batman has gone missing. With Nightwing being in charge of his search party, Nomad elected to stay in Gotham and watch over the city as it's Dark Angel until his return. But finds himself pitted against a mysterious figure who is rubbing out Gotham City's most dangerous criminals, and who many believe is the caped crusader himself.
But when Nomad's alter ego, Mason Woods the adopted son of millionaire Bruce Wayne, is about to get married to the lovely Helena Bertinelli, who helps him recover from his constant need to supress his anger over his father's murder meaning that his crime-fighting days may be numbered.
