I never thought I’d agree so quickly.
Sitting across from Yoongi, I studied him the soft pale skin, marshmallow lips, deep voice, and cat-like eyes. He was still as silent as ever, but something about him pulled me in.
“You sure about this?” he asked, voice low.
I hesitated for a second before nodding. “Yeah.”
His lips twitched, almost amused. “Even though I’m your ex’s wife’s brother?”
I swallowed. “That part… ........I don’t care about anymore.”
Yoongi hummed, sipping his coffee. “Alright. Let’s see where this goes.”

One Month Later
Our engagement was finalized, and surprisingly, it didn’t feel forced.
Yoongi wasn’t affectionate in the typical way no sweet words, no grand gestures. But he showed care in small, quiet moments.
Like carrying an extra jacket because I always forgot mine. Or texting, “Eat something.” when I got too busy.
One evening, as we sat on his balcony, watching the city lights, I whispered, “I think I love you.”
Yoongi froze, fingers gripping his cup tighter. Silence stretched between us before he murmured, “I don’t know if I can love properly.”
I turned to him, my heart soft. “That’s okay. I’ll love you enough for both of us.”
His gaze searched mine, hesitant. “Would you still love me even if I never say it back?”
I smiled, squeezing his hand. “Yes.”
And that night, for the first time, he didn’t pull away.
Time Skip – After Marriage
Marriage with Yoongi wasn’t a fairy tale, but it wasn’t a nightmare either.
He was still silent, still grumpy, still terrible at expressing emotions. But he never made me feel alone.
He woke up earlier than me, always leaving a warm cup of coffee on my nightstand. When I caught a cold, he sat beside me, wordlessly placing medicine and water next to me before leaving the room ,only to check on me every hour.
One evening, as I struggled to open a jar in the kitchen, he walked over, took it from my hands, and twisted the lid open effortlessly.
“Thanks,” I mumbled.
Instead of replying, he ruffled my hair.
I froze. He never did things like that.
Flustered, I glanced up at him. “Did you just-”.
“Shut up,” he muttered, turning away, ears slightly red.
I smiled. Maybe he couldn’t say I love you, but in his own quiet way, he was showing it. And that was more than enough.
Time Skip – One Year Later
Life with Yoongi was quiet but warm. He still wasn’t the type to say I love you, but he showed it in every little thing he did.
One night, as I lay in bed scrolling through my phone, Yoongi walked in after a late-night studio session. His hair was slightly messy, and his hoodie looked extra soft.
“Tired?” I asked, sitting up as he tossed his phone onto the nightstand.
He hummed, kicking off his slippers before sliding into bed beside me. Instead of facing away like he usually did, he turned toward me, propping himself on one elbow.
“Come here,” he murmured.
I blinked. “Huh?”
Without waiting, he tugged me closer until my head rested against his chest. His heartbeat was steady, his warmth completely surrounding me.
I smiled against his hoodie. “You’re being clingy today.”
“Shut up,” he muttered, but his arms tightened around me.
We stayed like that for a while, tangled in warmth and silence. Then, just as I was about to fall asleep, I felt his lips brush against my forehead.
A soft, barely-there whisper followed.
“I love you.”
My breath hitched. “Did you just-”.
“Sleep.”
I grinned, squeezing him tighter. “You love me.”
“Go to sleep, woman.”
Giggling, I snuggled closer. “I love you too.”
Yoongi sighed, defeated, but I could hear the tiny smile in his voice.
And in his arms, I felt safe, loved, and finally home.
