It was more peaceful than I'd ever imagined it to be.
Considering that Kiliano is, well, Kiliano.
I'd never thought his afterlife would look like such a somber oasis.
It was a calm bayou, the unbothered stream of water flowing beneath my feet while I stepped through the swampland.
The smell of oak, the salt in the water, the fresh smell of lilac rushing into my nostrils.
But there was no sign of him.
Then for a minute, I started to question if I was even in the right place.
It was only until a stick was thrown at my head, causing me to yelp out in surprise and look over at the source of where it was thrown.
And I saw him.
". . Kiliano. . "
"¿Qué chingados?"
There was a moment a silence, a long, uncomfortable, and awkward moment of silence. .
". . Long time no see. . "
"What are you doing here?"
"It's a very long story. . uhm. . do we have anywhere to sit?"
He went towards me, looking me up and down as he huffed.
"How did you even get in here?"
"Magic."
"Psh, don't bullshit me."
"Who said I was?"
His eyes narrowed, crossing his arms as he took a step back.
"It'd be best if you leave, hyna." Kiliano scuffs, "I don't trust any of you damn dogs after the shit you pulled at the school."
"Well, for starts, I wasn't there-"
"You ratted me out."
"I didn't."
"Oh, you didn't? Then how did the damn police find us at the warehouse?"
"They must have tracked my phone. I didn't want them to be there."
"Please, you can quit the savior shit."
"Oh, just shut up and listen if you value your brother's life."
His eyes widened, as he then let out a snarl.
"What did you do to him?"
"Nothing. It's Wing-Ding. . your stupid friend brought his soul back to life."
Kiliano looked with his mouth hung open, stammering out of his words as he then sighed.
"Elijah. . is he dead?"
"Fortunately."
"Why would he do it?"
"Because he wanted to bring you back, to bring back Fallon, to bring the Miels back to torment Sardon again."
"Jesus. ."
"Not to mention. . there's another powerful being out there ready to kill. ."
"And who's that?"
Just the thought of it. . of him . . almost made me barf on the swamp grounds. .
"My father. He wants me dead, and probably wants to kill every single person that I love just to taunt at me."
"Damn, what did you do to him?"
"Nothing! . . Well, I, uhh, stabbed him with one of his beer bottles, but it was justifiable. ."
