Over the past few days, there have been amazingly epic duels. One of them was Yugi versus Strings, who possessed an Egyptian God card. [Name] had written the details about it, and didn't go into the fact that Kaiba and Mokuba were there. Another duel that she'd seen was a private one. Yugi versus Arkana; someone who worked for a guy named "Marik" and had a Dark Magician. The card was similar to Yugi's Dark Magician, but Arkana didn't see value in his magical card. What an asshole. One last duel that she had witnessed was Weevil Underwood versus Joey Wheeler, and Joey had won. It was incredible. Tristan had told [Name] that back at the Duelist Kingdom, Joey's first duel was a victory against Mai Valentine. He was improving quickly.
The day after Weevil's loss against Joey, there was news of a duel that would take place at an aquarium. Who would've thought? [Name] was forced to wake up bright and early via her alarm clock because she would be there to write about it for Kaiba's business. First, she went to brush her teeth and wash her face, applying cream to her acne-infested skin. "Jesus... I wonder how people have such clear skin, and then there's me. What do people see in me that's so special?" [Name] grumbled as she dried her face.
That's when the thought of a certain voice played in her mind. All the different encounters with them. "I find you quite a beautiful friend. And others may think that too."
"I don't care if you think that. Do you remember what I said? I think you're beautiful; inside and out. My amazing and beautiful friend. And I don't want anyone to tell you otherwise. Not Pegasus, not anyone you come across that tries to make themselves seem superior."
Coming back to reality, [Name] felt her cheeks heat up. "AAAAH!!! Calm down, [Name]!! It was just a question about a silly little nickname! Don't take it too seriously!" she thought, covering her face.
In her closet, [Name] picked out a light blue sweater, pastel plaid skirt, white leg warmers, and white Mary Janes. She curled her hair and pulled it into two low ponytails with a beret. To top it off, [Name] took a Cinnamoroll tote bag and put her items in it; her books, pencils, pens, Chapstick, phone, and because she was going to an aquarium, a camera and poncho. Next was applying makeup. She used concealer, a bit of blush, some light-colored satin lipstick, eyeliner, and some eyeshadow. But only a little bit; a little bit went a long way. "Hey, [Name]. Wake up–"
Roland, Kaiba's head bodyguard, stood in the doorway. He was astonished that she was already dressed and ready to go. "Well, come on. Kaiba's waiting for you to come down so he can get you to the aquarium in time."
[Name] nodded and took her tote bag, but before she left her room, she grabbed her watery-printed scarf, tying it to her tote bag as a decoration. She grinned, walking outside to see a limousine waiting for her. She hated the rich life, which was evident when she stayed with Pegasus during the Duelist Kingdom tournament. All of the snarky remarks she made to him were stuck in her mind, and each one made her giggle when she thought about it. "Well now, [Name]. What's with the... uh... look?" Kaiba asked.
"It's none of your business, rich boy," [Name] simply said, looking out the window.
She crossed one leg over the other as she stuck her nose up, eyes closed. Kaiba rolled his eyes and ordered his chauffeur to take them to the aquarium, which was done with no argument. Now, the ride to the aquarium was silent. No one spoke. It was only when Kaiba began speaking on the phone with some woman named "Ishizu." Was this the same woman who told Kaiba about the 3 Egyptian God cards? [Name] paid no attention to the conversation as she took out her notebook, skimming through the stories until she found an empty page to write today's entry.
When they got there, [Name] got out of the limo and took out her notebook and pencil as she walked in, seeing an orca whale swimming around a podium. But the person on said podium was what caught her attention. [Name] quickly hid behind a pillar and watched as the person lifted a hula hoop, watching as the orca jumped through it. The orca bounced a ball into a net, then another at where [Name] was hiding. She squeaked and hugged her tote bag close to her chest. "What the... What's wrong, bud? Why did you hit the ball that way?" the person asked.
