"do you know what general pei junior's punishment will be?"
"probably exile"

Exile? That's not so bad after all.

"what do you mean not so bad?" pei ming said eyeing him. "umm..its not banishment i guess" xie lian replied innocently clearly not sensing the rage of other.

"have you found that boy on mount yujin I told you about?"
"not yet your highness we'll work hard on that"
"oh thanks" finding a normal boy in whole world surely is not an easy task.

By this point they have already reached the end of avenue. Palace of divine might stood in all glory in front of them. As they entered xie lian's eyes swiftly went on the throne. On the thrown sat a man clad in white armor. His eyes closed, as if sensing xie lian's presence he opened his eyes.
"xianle you've arrived"
Xie lian inclined his head in respectful bow and said nothing.

After his second banishment it was the first time he was meeting the emperor he didn't knew what to say.

All eyes focused on him and xie lian knew this meeting isn't about banyue pass. He was the centre of attention. Whyy

Ling wen approached the emperor and said "my lord there are some other officials who are out on patrol"

"Xianle I'm sure you know why you've been summoned here today"

"I can guess, but I thought that a decision was already made on the matter of general pei junior"

"How the matter will be decided is hard to say"

When Xie Lian turned his head to look, a martial god stepped into the
great hall. His hand resting on the hilt of his sword, he walked toward the
front. When he passed by Xie Lian, he stopped in his step, and the corners of his lips lifted up.

“Your Highness. I’ve heard so much about you.”
This martial god looked to be about twenty-six or twenty-seven years
old, graceful in his demeanor but resolute in his actions. Looking at his face,
Xie Lian thought he was even more attractive than that statue he’d seen at Mount Yujun. It was the kind of handsomeness that could steal hearts, very much the charming type. Xie Lian didn’t respond.

He continued, “Our Little Pei has certainly been in your care.”
I’ve definitely offended him, Xie Lian thought. He returned the
greeting.
“You flatter me. I’ve heard more about you, General Pei.”

"thanks for the compliment your highness" pei said with a playful smirk on his face.

"what does general pei mean by 'hard to say'?"

Just then pei ming snapped his finger and a corpse appeared in the middle of hall floating in midair.
"General pei whats the meaning of this?" xie lian asked eyeing the corpse or rather a shell created by pei junior.

"During the interrogation of little pei i found something quite curious."

Junior pei knelt down within the palace of divine might. General pei continued talking "during interrogation, little pei told me there was a man in red who killed all the ghost turned wrath in minutes. So please enlighten us your highness who was this guy."

Watching this everyone's eyes trailed off to the guy sitting next to xie lian.

"Ahh...we rescued some people I think he must be one of them?" he knew where this was going and tried his best to divert all the curious attention.
“That can’t be right, Your Highness,” Pei Ming said. “According toLittle Pei, you and that young man were unusually close. Not like someoneyou’d only just met or had only known for a few days. How can you not
recall such a thing?”

No, you’re wrong, that was the truth. It really was only a few days, XieLian thought. Nevertheless, his face gave nothing away.

At this pei ming looked bit guilty for having accused of someone like that. His face looked like he wanted to say something but kept quiet in the end.

Just then, from the sidelines, a white-clad cultivator casually waved his whisk and spoke up.
“General Pei, you’ve only heard Little Pei’s side of the story. Little Pei has committed a crime, and he’s currently in detention, soon to be exiled.
Whether his words are believable is still hard to say, no?”
“Then we shall see if General Nan Yang and General Xuan Zhen can
assist us,” Pei Ming replied.

Following his gaze xie lian saw two general standing far away from each other. They both stepped forward looking at jun wu. When he nodded they both came forward looking at the wounds of corpse. After inspecting both looked at each other. Feng xin decided to speak first "it's him"

"the scimitar eming" mu qing said.

Hearing this everyone in room froze. Even though they had expected this but still it was shocking.
"his highness hanging out with crimson rain sought flower?" all of them thinking the same thing.
