Looking over his shoulder and falling on the map, Chu Yanzhou memorized the general route in his mind. Just when he was looking for a chance to leave some signs for the reconnaissance team on the roadside, someone suddenly appeared in his arms.
It was Jian Chen who was still holding up his mobile phone to look for directions.
After looking at the stunned young man silently for a few seconds, Chu Yanzhou shook his ears. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of the cursor on his phone that finally stopped, and he spoke first to break the silence.
"Go east," perhaps because the confusion in Jian Chen's eyes was too obvious, Chu Yanzhou paused and explained in a different way, "that is, the direction on the left."
Jian Chen held up his phone and looked in the direction he was talking about. He walked a few steps forward without hearing any movement behind him. When he turned around, he saw Chu Yanzhou standing on the side of the road without knowing it, with his back to him, unsure of what he was doing.
"Chu Yanzhou," he said, "what are you doing?"
As Jian Chen spoke, he recalled the plot again, and then hurriedly ran over and grabbed the other person: "Do you want to escape?"
After kicking the things on the ground into the bushes, the man whose full name was called turned around, his expression unchanged.
"No," he replied.
But Jian Chen obviously didn't believe what he said. After all, the plot said that the protagonist was not really willing to go home with him at this time, but just wanted to find a suitable reason to leave the black market, and even started planning a future escape plan as soon as he came out.
In order to keep his mission target firmly in his sight during this period, Jian Chen walked to him and simply grabbed Chu Yanzhou's sleeves.
His eyes were pulled downwards, Chu Yanzhou lowered his head, and saw Jian Chen looking at him, and said in a very formal manner: "You are mine, I will not let you leave."
After saying that, he threatened fiercely, "otherwise I will tie you up and lock you in a small dark room so that you can never see the sun outside again."
Jian Chen's expression and tone were extremely serious when he said this, but the slightly raised tone at the end coupled with his expression gave Chu Yanzhou a sense of a small animal propped up in front of him, deliberately showing its teeth and claws to scare people.
It wasn't scary at all. On the contrary, it made him feel very happy.
A chuckle escaped from his throat, and before Jian Chen could look over with a sullen face, Chu Yanzhou changed the subject.
"Aren't you in a hurry?"
Being reminded like this, Jian Chen's thoughts were also brought away. However, when turning around, he glanced at Chu Yanzhou again, and then pulled the cuffs in his hands tighter.
He doesn't know whether it was because he was anxious or something, but Jian Chen walked unexpectedly fast.
In today's society, it is common to see monsters with ears or tails appearing on the streets. People can see many such figures no matter which street they go on.
But the combination of Jian Chen and Chu Yanzhou still attracted the attention of many people.
Especially when the tall monster, who could scare away many little monsters and children with just a glance, was dragged into the cake shop by the human Qingjun in front of him, resisted and stiffly took the pink packaging bag with strawberries on it, the level of attention they received reached its peak in an instant.
The bag in his hand was quite heavy. Chu Yanzhou lowered his head and glanced. After his eyes stayed on the box of Little Wolf biscuits for a few seconds, he seemed to ask unintentionally, "can you finish it?"
"Of course," Jian Chen didn't hear the temptation in his words, but instead stepped on them, "they are very edible."
"Them?" Chu Yanzhou asked appropriately.
Jian Chen counted down the time and stopped at the intersection. The wind here was a bit strong, and his voice was a little muffled under the mask: "Well, there are many children at home."
Children?
Chu Yanzhou thought for a moment and immediately remembered Jian Chen's identity as an "old customer".
If it had been in the past, Chu Yanzhou would have scoffed when he heard that regular customers from the black market were buying cakes for the little monsters at home with the monsters they just bought from the black market on their way back.
But now as one of the demons involved in this matter, he does not find this development strange at all.
Even if this matter falls on Jian Chen, it is inexplicably reasonable.
What an interesting human being.
The red light on the street corner had started counting down the last five seconds. Jian Chen shrank his fingers, which were a little cold from the wind, and while there was still some time, he secretly inserted his fingers into Chu Yanzhou's cuffs.
Whether it was because of his good health or because he was a great demon in his true form, Chu Yanzhou felt warm, even warmer than Jian Chen, a rabbit, to the touch.
So he just made a small movement, and the heat coming from the other person's body hooked on his stiff fingertips, making the cold little monster's eyes instantly light up.
The red light switched colors in an instant. Jian Chen didn't notice the sudden tightening of the body of the person next to him when he made small movements. He just dragged the person forward and then turned his head: "Oh, that's right."
"They are still young, and you are much older than them," Jian Chen warned. "When you go back later, you are not allowed to hurt them, nor are you allowed to compete with them for food, and you are not allowed to bully them."
Although he has met the protagonist so far, he has been much gentler and more approachable than what was described in the script. Even when he made this request, the other party just looked at him for a while and agreed with a "hmm".
But for some reason, Jian Chen still felt a little uneasy.
After crossing the road and turning into the community, Jian Chen was stuffed with a few oranges by the security guard, and stopped by a neighbor's aunt at the intersection to give away a few buns. Jian Chen finally stood at the door of his house with a lot of things in his arms.
He had a lot of things in his hands at the moment, so he didn't have much time to open the door. Jian Chen stood there and tried a few actions to no avail, so he simply stuffed the buns that almost fell out of the bag into Chu Yanzhou's mouth, then he took the time to press the door code with his hand.
Along with the system's beeping sound, there were several sounds of little monsters running in a hurry in the room, and finally there were several soft meows.
Subconsciously taking a step back, Jian Chen was already prepared to have his legs rubbed and for them to jump on him, but as the door opened, the few small animals in the room who were running towards the door happily kicked him, after hesitating for a moment with rounded eyes, they all rushed to Jian Chen's side with their furry hair and pupils raised.
Being pushed into the house by the furry creatures around his legs, Jian Chen put the things on the cabinet and looked back, and saw that the few little monsters had bypassed him and blocked the door, looking like they were going to destroy the man outside the house. The posture of blocking outside and not allowing entry.
It seemed that the scene in front of him was a bit unexpected. Chu Yanzhou raised his eyebrows, but quickly adjusted his expression and looked at Jian Chen innocently.
"I didn't bully them," said Chu Yanzhou, who was holding a cake in one hand and a bun in the other. He tilted his head inadvertently and said with a hint of distress, "Look."
"Now they're bullying me."
