I Met Him Again!!

Leena's Pov

While I and Elyas were having that staring competition, we suddenly broke eye contact when we heard a whining from the dumpster near the park. 

 Elyas turned to me and asked " You heard that right? tell me I'm not the only one"

" No.... your not.. I heard that too..." I answered. We heard that sound again, it sounded painful like someone  or something is in trouble. I told Mustafa go in the house and tell our parents that I lost my bracelet in the park and that I will be late since I am finding it.( I know, great excuse ) 

Mustafa agreed and went in the house, I looked over to where Elyas was sitting and he was not there, a little while later Elyas comes out of the house with a garbage bag. 

" A ..... garbage bag?" I asked him tilting my head.

" I needed an excuse to go over to the dumpster....so..." Elyas was telling me his excuse when we heard it ( whining) again, " No need to explain lets hurry!" I exclaimed. 

We went over to the dumpster and we saw DARKNESS MOVING !!! after looking closely again it was a pile of flufffff!!!!!!. It was a small black PUPPY!! ......but was  IT the one making that sound? 

Elyas had brought  a torch with him and turned it on. We saw the puppy licking it's front, right leg, After  looking closely we found something similar to a snake bite. 

Elyas thought that it might be a Red bellied snake because one of his friends lost their little snake pet .

After FURTHUR inspection we found out that the little puppy was sick and malnourished, it had lice and ticks all over it. 

Elyas ran over to his house and got a blanket and a box. "Can you wrap the pup in the blanket and put him in this box?" He asked me concerned eyes. "sure, of course, why not " I replied.

Elyas went back home and then came back, he looked so funny, I had nuzzled the little pup in the blanket and he went to sleep. Elyas came back and told me to go back home. " What!?  but why?" I asked. " I have an aunt who is a vet, I called her and told her about the situation and she will arrive shortly. I have it under control, you should go to your house.....your parents must be worried" he replied. 

"He is probably right....my parents would be worried" I thought to myself. " take care of the puppy. While you were going back and fourth to your house...I named the little guy Buddy..and I hope I can see him next time in a better shape" I said to Elyas while petting Buddy.

I went back home and my mom was FURIOUS!! because I came a bit later than expected.

" LEENA  MUHAMMAD KHAN!!!!!  WHERE WERE YOU??!! YOU BETTER EXPLAIN YOURSELF YOUNG LADY!!!!" my mom shouted at me.

" Maam, she was with me" said a familiar voice, I turned around to see who it was and I couldn't believe my eyes.
