Lost and Secrets Unfold

"Y-yeah sorry." Gajeel apologized lowering his head in shame.

"Whatever." Rachael said bluntly turning to walk away, then Gajeel grabbed her hand, she started to panic from the contact.

"L-et go o-of m-me." Rachael stuttered in a panicked whisper.

"Huh?" Gajeel questioned.

"LET GO OF ME!" Rachael yelled crying a bit. Gajeel let go of her hand, a bit hurt she wouldn't let him touch her.

"Sorry." He said sadly.

"Uhhh, yeah, um, I'm gonna find water and take a bath!" Rachael said then ran off.

"Great job Blacksteal, you screwed up your chance at telling her!" Gajeel said punching a big boulder causing it to spilt, getting out all his frustrations mentally, then he went to look for Rachael.

Rachael eventually found a small hot springs, took off her clothes except her bra and panties, and got in the nice warm water.

"God I'm such a bitch... literally." Rachael said as a white/gray tail swished in the water, and the bandana that was always on her head, came off revealing a matching pair of wolf ears, poking out of her blond hair.

"*Whimper* I cant get close to anyone. They'll just hurt me when they find out what I really look like, not even (y/n) knows." Rachael sighed tears running down her face. Little did she know Gajeel heard and saw everything. He stepped out into the hot spring clearing.

"Rachael..." He said hesitantly.

"Gajeel!" Rachael's eyes went wide, her ears went flat on her head, and her tail shot up in fear, as she squeaked out the boy's name that was in front of her.

Gajeel started to walk towards Rachael, she ducked further into the water to hide her body.

"Rachael your..." Gajeel trailed now standing in front of her, waist high in the water.

"I know, I'm a freak of nature." Rachael cried.

"... Beautiful." Gajeel said taking her face in his hands, and wiped her tears away with the pad of his thumb. Rachael's eyes went wide at the contact, and at what Gajeel just told her.

"*Sniffle* What?" Rachael asked.

"Your beautiful Rachael," Gajeel smiled, putting his forehead on hers, "I love you." Rachael then threw her arms around his waist, and just cried.

"H-hey what's wrong?" Gajeel asked concerned.

"Just shut up and comfort me." Rachael whispered still crying.

"Gladly." Gajeel smiled sitting in the water with Rachael pulled close to his chest, not even caring that his clothes were getting soaked.

"Why? Why me?" Rachael asked softly.

"Because your different than the other girls I know, your kind, caring, beautiful, and on top of all that your a seventeen year old taking care of you thirteen year old sister, all by yourself." Gajeel said.

"You say that now, but once you actually know my past, it will all turn to pity." Rachael said getting up out of Gajeel's lap, and towards the edge of the hot springs, drying off exactly like a dog, then put her clothes back on.

"Then tell me. Help me know! Cant you see I'm trying to get to know you better!" Gajeel pleaded.

"No! You'll just do to me what HE did!" Rachael screamed and started to run.

"Why cant you see I care and love you!" Gajeel yelled tears falling down his studded face.

Rachael froze at what Gajeel said, she slowly turned around her bangs covering up her one blue and one brown eyes.

"Do you really want to know what happened to me?" Rachael asked her head down.

"Yes." Gajeel said softly.

"Fine, I'll tell you." She said walking over to the egde of the spring, as Gajeel was coming out of it.

The two sat down beside each other, under a cherry tree after walking a bit.

"THOSE BASTARDS I'LL KILL THEM!" Gajeel yelled after Rachael told her story for forty minutes.

"Thanks but, I'll be the one to kill them." Rachael said leaning her head on his shoulder.

"No I wont let you do that." Gajeel stated pulling her into his lap again, and hugging her tight, "I will take the burden of this for you, I mean I cant be anymore of a monster than what I already am." Gajeel said resting his chin on Rachael's head, in between where her ears would be, if it weren't for the bandana covering them up again.

"Why, what did you do?" Rachael questioned.

"Well before I came to Fairy Tail, I may or may not have kidnapped and almost beat Lucy to death" Rachael laughed, nuzzling closer to the dragon slayer's chest.

"I don't care I love you, just the way you are. Our past don't define who we are." Gajeel whispered semi into her ear because it was kind of hard with them hidden.

"Can you keep a secret?" Rachael asked looking into his blood read eyes.

"Of course. I promise." Gajeel nodded.

"I may not look it but, I'm afraid of falling in love."

"That's nothing to be ashamed of everyone is afraid of something, others more than one." Gajeel comforted.

"Are you afraid of anything?" She asked.

"Yeah I'm afraid of being alone." Gajeel said sadly.

"Well you'll never be alone, you have Pantherlily, Fairy Tail, and now me." Rachael said. Gajeel's eyes went wide.

"Do you mean..." Rachael nodded.

"I love you Blacksteal Gajeel." Rachael smiled a smile, she thought she never would again... a loving one.

Gajeel smiled then leaned down, their lips locked in a heated passion filled kiss, The two fell to the ground. Gajeel kept his hands on her hips, being mindful she wouldn't be comfortable any lower.
