12. Exam gone wrong

Start from the beginning

---Normal POV---

I was on my way home, after taking a quick nap at the nurse's office. And yes, I actually fell asleep when the robots carried me there.

"Sleep deprived ass..."

'Hey! The trip was relaxing okay... And it worked out well! It made it seem like I fainted for real!'

Anyways.

I think it will work out with the whole zero-pointer situation. Every quirk has their advantages and disadvantages, and the show I put on couldn't really have been too much of a big deal for the pro heroes at UA. Especially since I barely had any villain points and 'fainted' after that large-scale attack.

For now, I just had to wait for the results. Right now, I was texting with Denki on the phone while listening to my favorite song.

Denki-dork

Hey how did itgo?

Me

Alright I think

Wby?

Denki-dork

I dont know tbh

The practical was fine I guess but I think I flunked the written exam and its kinda stressing me out

Me

Dont worry

You did yur best right?

Dont sulk over it

You cant change it now anyways

And bsides I bet you did fine

Denki-dork

Awww thank you bestieeee TuT

I stopped in my tracks and stared at the message, the song still playing from my earphones. Bestie, he wrote. Well, he probably didn't mean it, did he? Still, I kind of wanted him to have meant it. I sighed and typed a reply.

Me

Yea whattvre no problem

I placed my phone back in my pocket and started walking along with the beat again.

A week went by, and all I did was eat, train Pause in the basement, fly, go shopping, study about hero society and history, and hang out with Keigo at home, who had surprisingly taken a few days 'off'. He thought I didn't notice, but every night, after our nightly flights, he went off to some villain attack to help. I always followed him and watched him fight, discreetly helping him every now and then with my teleportation quirk from afar.

He truly was a hero. I did feel a little bad for him since he barely got any sleep, but that's a hero's duty, isn't it? To help civilians in need, whatever the situation. So I was proud of him.

Today was a normal day.

I was laying on the couch while Keigo was cooking dinner. Chicken wings to be exact. With extra crisp. He bribed the KFC staff to give him the recipe the other day and has been aching to try it out himself.
