"I'm sorry aidan, I won't bring her up again. I shouldn't always assume the worst." I said to my boyfriend on the phone after he spent 20 minutes yelling at me because I asked about one of his friends. Sometimes I wonder if this is worth it.

"Its fine, just don't worry about her, she's just a friend I promise. you know I'd never lie to you." He sighed.
I kinda wish I broke up with aidan before moving to nockfell. I mean like, I did only move here 2 days ago but i everything has been shit for those 2 days. I miss aidan, but hes always angry at me now, its probably fine though, I'm probably just being dramatic again.

Its not like i have any other friends to tell me that hes toxic and that i deserve better, like when he kissed some girl at my birthday, she didnt know he had a girlfriend, she told me to get rid of him but i cant.
and i wont, its not like im only with him so that i wont be alone, i love aidan, but some times i wonder if he loves me as much as he says he does. I wonder if... no, I'm just overthinking this again. Its fine.

After he hung up, i flopped onto my bed. i wanted to scream. instead i just got up and played my bass for a couple minutes before i was interrupted by a knock on my aparment door. it cant be my mom because she just left for work and i dont know any one else in this aparment because i haven't left it since we got here. I get up and walk to the door. I open it and behind the door was a tall boy with long brown hair and a t-shirt with the letters "SF" on it, beside him was a shorter boy, or a girl? I couldn't tell. The other person had blue hair and blue eyes, he was wearing some sort of mask that covered his whole face.

"oh, hi." i said to the boys in front of me. I hate talking and meeting new people, i fidget with my hands and look at anything besides the two boys.
"hey, you just moved here, right?"
The brunette asked softly.
"Yea, two days ago." I replied and he nodded.
"I'm larry, that's sal." He said. I smiled. I'm guessing sal is a boy.
"My names y/n. I like your... mask, sal" I said to sal.
"Its a prosthetic, thank you, though." He replied, smiling. I smile back at him. Me and the two boys talk for about 10 minutes before larry asks for my number and they leave shortly after that. I go back to my room, I'm happy that I actually managed to meet some new people.

I was terrified when I first moved here. I thought id never have another friend besides aidan.
Me and aidan have been dating for like 4 years. He's been acting different lately, though. Since I moved he's been kinda distant.

I hear rain start to louldy pour outside, hitting against the window.
Later that day, when my mom gets home, we sit down together at the table to have dinner.

"So. Did you go anywhere today?" She asks, looking down at her plate.
I think about my response for a second. I nod.
"No. I stayed home. Actually, two boys came to the apartment to introduce themselves to me. They live here too." I tell here. Sal said that he's on floor 4 and larry lives in the basement. Me and my mom live on floor 3 of the Addison apartments.

That night before I go to sleep I get a text.

Sal:

Hey y/n! Do u want me to add u to a gc with some of me and Larry's friends? It's okay if u don't,
Just wanted to ask:)))))

I respond, saying yes. Then I fall asleep soon afterwards.
