Summer's pov.
"Found it!"
I and Diego stopped and turned around. Buck was holding a rock. But it didn't look like a regular rock. I think it was a piece of asteroid.
"Behold, mammals!", spoke Buck, "A sneak preview of the asteroid to come. A space rock. Fresh from the cosmos.", then licked the rock, "Mmm, mmm, mmm. I taste iron-carbon.", Buck drank from it, "Oh! And a hint of nickel...Space tastes lonely."
"Hey, look! I found another one.", said Crash and picked up a rock.
"Me too.", said Eddie and picked one as well.
Suddenly, the two rocks started going for each other. Bringing Crash and Eddie with them. I heard a soft 'whoa' and looked at my kids. They were looking in amazement. I smiled and shared a look with Diego. Though, I couldn't say Slash wasn't doing the same as my kids. I turned back to Buck and he was looking at the rocks with curiosity. I glanced at the possums and they were already arguing.
"Hey! Yours is attracted to me.", complained Crash.
"No. Yours is attracted to me.", complained Eddie as well.
Then, multiple asteroid pieces crashed into the possums.
Eddie sobbed, "We're just too attractive!"
Diego walked out front, "Stupendous! Now we have something to play with during our final hours.", he said sarcastically.
"You're missing the point, tiger.", complained Buck and played with the rock in his hand, "They're magnets. And if these space rocks are magnetic... so is that.", explained Buck and pointed at the meteor in the sky, "This can only mean one thing."
"And that would be...", started Simba.
I raised my eyebrows. Buck came up to Simba and Nala and licked his hands...
"Allow me."
...and embedded his claws in their skulls. I gasped, as well as Dexter.
"What is he doing?!", I snapped.
I was about to kick Buck away from them but got stopped by the possums.
"Let him.", assured Eddie.
"He's sharing his thoughts with Nala and Simba.", agreed Crash.
I shook my head angrily. Then, Buck pulled his hands back. I sighed in relief as I saw Nala and Simba unharmed. Dexter went to them.
Nala smiled, "So, we just need to go to the crash site... and launch a bunch of rocks into space.", explained Nala and chuckled, "That's easy, right?"
I shook my head, "Oh, yeah. Sounds like a real piece of cake."
Buck collected the rocks into a bag, "This is progress!", he argued, "Now we know exactly what we don't know how to do.", finished Buck and put on his bag, "Vamanos, mammals! This trail will take us directly to the crash site."
Buck started walking again. I shared a worried look with Diego and all of us followed him.
"Okay, everyone. Follow the trail. Never leave the trail.", stated Buck.
Suddenly, he started looking around with a worried look.
"Okay, everyone. Leave the trail. Into the forest. Chop, chop."
I raised a brow at him.
"But you just said...", started Dexter.
Buck ran up to him and grabbed him by his fangs, "You know I'm crazy. Come on."
We all turned to the right and walked through the forest. Suddenly, Buck jumped right in front of us. Julian, Peaches, Diego, and I flinched.
Buck cleared his throat, "I love the shade. Don't you?"
I raised my eyebrows at Diego. He shrugged and we continued walking. Slash, Nala, Dexter, and Simba are in front of us. I'm glad they have such a caring uncle.
~le Time Skip~
After about an hour of walking my kids got tired. Manny again offered to carry them on his back. I smiled at Manny and thanked him. And soon enough, they fell asleep. It's a good thing they can rest from moment to moment. Even on the action. As we were walking, we reached a lake.
"Uuh, Buck?", asked Slash, "You have a suggestion for getting around the river?"
Buck pointed a finger at him, "Let's see if the tablet's ancient wisdom will guide us."
Buck took out a tablet and kept looking back and forth, from the tablet to the lake. Then, Buck walked up to the edge of the cliff and spread his arms.
"Let my mammals pass!"
"That's never gonna work.", commented Diego.
Suddenly, a planet flew over us...causing the water to rise, forming a bridge. Slash and Diego's mouths flew open. Crash and Eddie closed them.
"The ancients grant us safe passage.", stated Buck.
Julian chuckled, "Sweet!"
I made a 'not wrong' face. I looked at my kids and they were frozen. I chuckled, "C'mon, go.". My kids laughed and ran in the front. They started to play around for a while. As we walked through the river, the forest was enveloped in black smoke.
I hummed, "Wow, the air feels strange.", I commented and heard Slash hum in agreement. Slash, Diego, and my kids were walking behind me.
"Uuh...dad?"
I heard Nala ask. I turned around and saw Diego already looking at her. She showed her front leg. The fur was all spiked as if electrified. Diego looked down on his leg and saw the same. Next to him stood Simba, Dexter, and Sid...snickering. Sid nudged Diego. Diego looked up and tagged along in laughing. I also looked up and saw Manny's 'hair' all spiked up as well. I giggled myself. Slash chuckled as well. Suddenly, all of Manny's fur got electrified and he looked like a fluffy ball. Sid and Diego laughed. Then, Diego's fur did the same thing. Sid laughed, now even harder, while rolling on the ground. Manny and Diego glared at him and touched him. And Sid also looked like a poofy ball, now. It was amusing to watch, I gotta say. My kids laughed as well. Crash and Eddie laughed too. Eddie accidentally touched Crash and he ended up getting electrified.
"Finally! We have superpowers!", exclaimed Eddie and both of them started playing.
Buck turned to us, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have wandered into an electrical storm.", he stated and looked up at the sky as thunder rumbled, "I suggest we all stay away from the trees."
Diego walked up to me, still poofy, "Sure, no problem. It's not like we're in a forest."
