Mochi's eyes widened. He and Baymax looked to the other side, past the bridge, where the forest was.
Once they arrived to the tower, (Y/N) ran up to her bed and fell onto the mattress, sobbing. She cried until she fell asleep. Callaghan later tucked her in.
Hiro couldn't sleep. He sulked in his cell the entire night, occasionally nodding off, but that was it. He was worried sick about her. When morning came, he paced the cell, regretting everything. It was too hard to look out of the pathetic window. Gray clouds blocked out the sun and it looked like it was going to rain. Outside showed the bay where he had the best moment of his life, just mere hours ago. Now it seemed like it never happened. His thoughts always led back to (Y/N). And every time, a pang of guilt washed over him.
He couldn't take it anymore. He screamed and pounded the wall.
Realizing his outburst, Hiro took in a deep breath. His body relaxed, his arms sliding down. But his forehead still rested on the stone walls.
She's gone.
And there's nothing he can do to help.
The bars creaked open.
Hiro opened an eye and turned around.
Krei glared at him. "Let's get this over with, Hamada."
Sweat prickled in his palms. His heart rate slowly elevated. "W-Where are we going?"
Krei didn't answer, but he had a determined look on his face.
Hiro's hand touched his throat.
"Oh."
(Y/N)'s hair lied limply around her, the braid undone. She mindlessly played with her fingers.
Callaghan plucked out the last flower, dropping into the basket besides him. "There, it never happened."
She stared at her fingers.
"Now, wash up for breakfast, I'll make your favorite, okay?" He sighed when he caught sight of the dejected girl. "Oh (Y/N), I told you. I tried to warn you. You should have never left. The world is dark and full of selfish, greedy, cruel people. If they find the slightest ray of sunshine-the smallest burst of color- they destroy it." He closed the curtains and went to the kitchen.
(Y/N) hadn't moved. She can't believe Hiro would do that. Now Mochi isn't even here with her.
How could he? I thought he changed. I knew there was some good in him. But it was all just a game he played?
(Y/N) was too crushed to be angry. She fell back into her bed and covered her eyes with her pillow.
The flag in her hand was hot, and she opened her palms. Removing the pillow, she brought up the flag to see.
The flower really stood out against the light blue background. It was really pretty.
She dropped her hands again.
Her eyes roamed the ceiling, looking at the familiar drawings she drew. That's when something caught her eye.
One of the flowers she drew looked exactly like the insignia, which was impossible because she drew that way before she went to the kingdom.
A couple other flowers had the same exact shape.
And then in between a tree and a girl, the negative space between it looked exactly like the flower.
(Y/N) blinked, shaking her head.
When she looked back, they were still there, except for some reason, they began glowing different colors and more flowers began popping up in different parts of the ceiling. They were hidden everywhere on the walls.
