Hours after Liv left, I dig into the hard drive Callahan gave me. On one of my laptops, I'm still watching the footage from Vegas. On the other one, the hard drive is running as I try to open it.

After the mystery woman appears in September, she doesn't disappear. She always went into the Casino every single night alone and only twice did she walk out with a man on her hand. I've taken an interest in her now that I know she's Adrik's mother.

Unfortunately I get to the end of the footage but start the 2020 folder from January first. New year's 2020 she walks in the casino with some girlfriends while laughing and talking. No audio just video.

Then at midnight they walk out and I see them yell then share kisses amongst themselves. She looks happy and carefree. Every time they pass the Mexican restaurant she stares longingly at the camera. Like she's expecting someone to wave or talk back.

Every single night from January till March 20th she appears with the same girls and on the way to what I'll assume is home, she stares at the camera outside the Mexican restaurant. However on 21st something unexpected happened.

Anton fucking appears at the casino. He's with a girl and some of his buddies. They go in and two hours later, mystery woman walks in but comes out after ten minutes and goes home. That's the only day she didn't look at the camera.

And not only that, she disappeared for three weeks. Anton was there at the casino every night for two weeks so she must have been avoiding her son. But why? Unless she faked her death, I can't come up with any other logical explanation as to why she's avoiding him.

August 2020, she doesn't appear at all. And I never saw neither Giovanni, nor Dante not even Anton so I don't know what might have spooked her. Then she shows up again mid September throughout the whole 2020 and 2021 until April again. And now I know how the rest goes.

"You poor lady. It's been two weeks and three days. You smell like rotten eggs and this room stinks. Now get up take a shower while I clean up. Then go spend some time with your daughter. She'll forget you if you keep staying here."

Katerina says and pulls me into the shower. When was the last time I even had a decent meal? I even forgot about Jules for a minute. I'm such a bad mom. After dressing I walk downstairs towards the living room.

I hear Jules' laughter before I can see her. She mumbles and plays with her toy while watching TV. I pass through the kitchen first and get myself a bottle of water before going to Jules.

"Guess who's here baby? Mama is her..." I didn't get to finish my sentence as I froze. With Jules, it's fucking Adrik. Adrik himself is here in my house.

"Hey baby." He says as he smiles and gets up walking towards me. I don't completely register what's happening until he hugs me and kisses my forehead then sniffs my hair. "God, I fucking missed you."

"What are you doing here?" I finally find my voice and ask. I pull away from him and he looks at me with sad longing eyes and I ignore the pang at my cold heart.

"I know I said I would come after 48 hours, but something came up and I had to make sure things are in order before coming to you guys." He says as he walks and picks up Jules.

He looks so natural with her. Like this is something he does daily after work or some shit like that. "It's been four months Adrik. I didn't know 24 hours is equivalent to two months instead of a day." I say and he laughs.

And if his laugh isn't the sexiest thing I've heard, I don't know what is. I wanna hear his laugh for the rest of my life when we grow old and grey together. Now hold the fuck up, what am I saying.

"You're so funny sunshine." He says. "Don't call me sunshine, sunshine. Yeah that's right, I'll be calling you sunshine from now on." I say and smirk at him and he swallows before adjusting his pants.

Fuck, why is that hot!

"Why would you call me that. I'm not a fucking sunshine like Callahan." He scowls and I smile. He looks cute when scowling. Jesus, take it down a notch Sky.

"Okay sunshine." I say just to annoy him. "I was serious about taking you two. Our home has been ready and it's waiting for us." He hands Jules over to Katerina whom I didn't see nor hear walk into the room.

"Why would I go with you. You're a stranger to me sunshine." He growls at the nickname and I smile. I walk towards the kitchen again and he follows like a puppy.

"We can start a family sweetheart. You, me, Jules and if you want more kids then we'll have more kids." He says. I was now preparing sandwiches.

"You think I want to have another baby. Let alone that, you think I wanna have another mafia's baby? You're insane." He looks hurt by my words.

"You're my queen. Yes the Russian queen but you're mine Sky. I would never let anyone harm you or Jules. You don't want more kids, I'm fine with that. But please let me take care of you two." He strokes my cheek. I didn't even realize how close we were.

I look at his lips for long and when I feel him staring at mine I meet his eyes and gasp. His eyes are mismatched like Jules'. And god the shade of each eye makes him look so fucking beautiful it hurt looking at him.

Before I could answer, he slams his lips on mine and groans. I willingly kiss back because he's such a good kisser I would be a fool not to kiss back. His hand presses at my throat and I moan and he growls.

"Fuck baby." He says and we resume kissing. His tongue is in my mouth and I grip his hair and he whimpers in my mouth and I smile. "One day I'll loose my mind because of you and it'll be worth it." He says and I blush.

Now, how do I say no after that wonderful kiss?
