"My lady, your breakfast is ready." A heavily accented voice called out as I turned to see a young freckled girl with black curly hair put in a braid over her shoulder and hazel eyes.
'Plain greens again?' I sighed as my eyes fell on the food she had brought into the room.
It didn't matter how many bowls and plates they gave, or how many different types of vegetables they put in it.
It was still just plain salad that they didn't even bother to dress properly or add anything else other than vegetables.
There wasn't even a loaf of bread that came with it, just water.
'Even if she was just an adopted child and grew to be a certified spoiled "noble" in name...' She was still the daughter of the grand duke.
She should've been given something more than just salad and plain greens.
And she still held the last name "Divinus", she didn't deserve the cruel fate awaiting her.
'Hah... Who am I kidding? I'm such a hypocrite...' I scoffed at myself. I would never have said this about her before playing that damn game.
'The only reason I have to care now, is because now I am her. I am Sovine Divinus.'
"Okay, leave." I ordered as the maid glared at me before smirking. Not a good sign.
"Oh no, my lady! I must serve you first." She strolled over to my desk with the cart and food.
"What are you doing? I told you to-" "Oops!" The maid cut me off as she knocked over the jug filled with water on me.
I had already known that Sovine had no authority in high society whatsoever, but I had hoped for her to at least have some say over the duchy's servants.
Or at least with her own lady in waiting.
"Oh, I'm sorry, my lady! My hand slipped!" The maid clasped both her hands over her mouth, probably to hide her smirk.
Could she be any more obvious about all this? How little effort she was trying to make it look like an accident honestly felt more insulting than the water.
"It's fine, just leave." I repeated my earlier order as I grabbed a napkin.
If only I had never played that game, none of this would have happened...
Even after two weeks, none of this made sense.
I no longer had my ordinary soft dark brown locks which gently cascaded down to my shoulders, or my golden brown eyes filled with rich melamine...
Instead, they were replaced by Lucious silver hair that dropped down to a few inches over my knees, naturally full, silky gradient lips, rosy cheeks.
And stunningly coral hues with a tint of red, both of which only complimented my fair skin and soft facial features even more.
How? How did I just turn into the villainess of a popular game out of nowhere?
I was just on the bus going home from my college as Min Ae-ri Shin and then I was suddenly in a game as Sovine Divinus, the villainess.
.......
"The String to Fate."
It was a new trending game around the world that had just come out. As someone who grew up in a strict household, I had no idea what it even was.
I had just moved out of my home to my college dorm so I was more focused on unpacking than a game.
But a friend of mine suggested that I try to at least play the heroine and villainess's POV, and she wouldn't shut up about it.
