(weeeee)
It would have taken him less than 2 years to get to his first mission and he probably would have been at the OBISS by now he could have been helping in the development of furthering humankind's understanding of the wide expanse of space outside of their solar system but back in his ship he couldn't of dun anything maybe he should have reported the anomaly instead of looking at it by himself but he was curious by nature; what he didn't expect was for his curiosity to make him wake up in a cage
looking around he saw that he wasn't alone he and others were crammed in cages, who would do this who would put their fellow humans in cages
A creek of sliding doors interrupted the silents, steps following and stopping behind him he'd prefer to keep looking at the expanse of cages god there were so many "human" A ciphony of birds sang and screeched behind him wiping around he saw not a human;
this thing was not human this creature with its stork-like legs that seemed to be in a constant state of melting and yet not losing any substance its arms were much the same the only thing that was human about it was the fact it was bipedal it looked like it could be from dnd the remainder of his mother was the only thing keeping him the least bit sane though that starfish like head was not helping;
humour it seems was the only way he was getting out of this predicament alive.
"Human" the beast song as it banged on the walls of the cage, it's song beautiful though it may be it was clear that it was not meant for any kind of human speech.
Looking up at its melting face he could see that it started to talk "You may be too stupid to think but I will give you the courtesy to explain" It was beautiful in how terrifying it was, its vivid purple skin was melting yes but some parts looked too be hanging on tightly to the joints and yet it was still so flowed in its movements as it crouched he crowed forward to meet it and reached out and grasped on to the bares
"you know my language"
"yes my young deathling I know many of your languages I'm the only one who bothered"
so there's more of them his heart was pounding, of course, there'd be more "You are 7 light years away from your home plaint so if you were to escape from here you can never go back" he could feel his eyes prickle with tears why would he never go home why was he here blinking he could feel the tears running down his face and what felt like a pram wiping them away "you shouldn't cry, you won't always know it's me and if they see you crying they'll give you something to cry about"
the next day or when the lights came on they dragged him out of the cage; there were so many more there were two times as
many he couldn't do anything when they dragged him to the labs when he tried to get away from the table they just strapped him down at least they gave him food after
this was such a dissertating experience he had never been treated like an object, and he hated it. he could have been at the OBISS by now, he could have been doing science but instead, science was being dun on him.
he wonders what kind of home plaint his captors had to make evulsion make them probably a low-gravity he had noticed that the artificial gravity was kind of weaker than it should have been, so was it weak enough that it simulates their home plaint so their organs work properly he can only assume their organs are a liquid-like as their skin but just enough that they can get accurate enough results in their tests or was their artificial gravity just weak one thing he was sure of is that their plaint was definitely like wetlands, their legs did look like ones of a stork or an ibis so that must mean they have a fish-based---
"I'm sorry" It was back, this creature kept giving mixed signals "Why are you sorry?" "For what's about to happen"

"Caption's log 165 day 42, me and my crow have been tracking down the--" The recording stopped no duet when their crow started their attack,
there were rumours that this squadron had taken on a high-level mission from the coalition involving a group of hitodarre,
the hitodarre are one of the most intelligent life forms in all of the cosmos if their crow found this group of hitodarre they could finally get some nice new up grads that Charlie has been asking for "Belzé inform Charlie that if she wants those new parts she's going ta have to look for the information theses sunburnt had on the hitodarre and--"they pursed, although Belzé was their first mate he was admittedly slow but they never failed to give an affirmative 'yes caption' well unless... "Belzé?" turning to see what he was doing instead of leasing to their caption was useless they already knew what their first mate was doing
"IS EATING THE ONLY THING YOU CARE ABOUT YOU DUNDERHAED!?!?!"
"Hey, I wasn't about to let this delicious meat go to waste!" their first mate was whinny as always, they supposed it was only fair that they got to eat their kill still but eating a sunburnt was just grows, sighing they tolled Belzé that they would just tell Charlie themself
