Chapter 45 [Part 1/2]

"You're absolutely right! YGIU is truly an amazing University. I must admit, I was quite surprised to see you make the transfer. I mean, isn't HYBE one of the Big 4 Universities? Why would you choose to come here?" Chaeyoung's tone carried a mixture of feigned curiosity and subtle sarcasm, not going unnoticed by Nayeon and Chanty.

Complications arise between Sana Unnie and Tzuyu Oppa because of him. Is this how childhood best friends are supposed to behave? He's like a leech clinging onto Sana Unnie. Chanty couldn't help but smile as she pondered over this thought.

"Well, you know, I wanted to broaden my horizons and experience the greatness of YGIU University. Plus, having my best friend here is a bonus. It'll be wonderful to attend college with her by my side," Jin Young explained, glancing at Sana with a warm smile before refocusing his attention on Chaeyoung.

After hearing his reason, Chanty had to control herself from raising her right eyebrow questioningly.

"Oh, really? You two seem to be quite close," Chaeyoung remarked, letting out a fake chuckle that strangely sounded genuine.

Chaeyoung couldn't help but wonder, Why didn't you transfer earlier? Why now, when someone is making moves towards Sana? She maintained a forced grin as she looked at Jin Young.

*Suddenly, a loud, fake cough erupted from Chanty, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Oh, I apologize. I think the ever-changing weather these past few days is getting to me," Chanty apologized, placing a hand on her chest, adding a touch of melodrama to her act.

"That's fin-..."

"Anyways! Sana Unnie, I need you to come with me," Chanty swiftly interjected, giving Jin Young no chance to finish his sentence.

Understanding what Chanty meant, Sana nodded in agreement. She had promised Tzuyu her time today, and she assumed that Chanty and Chaeyoung had come to fetch her.

Sana's eyes sparkled with excitement, and she smiled widely. "Oh, right! I'll come with you," she affirmed, then turned to Nayeon.

"Bunny, what about you? I think it's time for you to find Jeongyeon. You know, I should have some alone time with her," Sana whispered, widening her eyes to convey her message to Nayeon.

Jin Young attempted to catch Sana's words but they were too low for him to understand what she was whispering to Nayeon.

"What's with the secret whispering, girl?" Jin Young teased, playfully nudging Sana.

"I don't need to go find her, Satang. If she wants to see me, she'll come to me," Nayeon sassily whispered back, causing Sana to break into a wide smile.

"Thanks, Bunny! Love ya!" Sana exclaimed, pulling Nayeon into a quick hug.

"Alright then. Enjoy your alone time with her," Nayeon said loudly, catching Jin Young's attention and causing him to furrow his brows in curiosity.

"Do you have some other plan-"

"Unnie, let's go!" Chanty interrupted loudly, cutting Jin Young off for the second time. She swiftly took hold of Sana's arm and began dragging her away.

Jin Young was left speechless as Chanty cut him off. Initially, he hadn't minded when she interrupted him earlier, but now he was starting to feel irritated by it happening again.

"Wait! Sana, girl! I thought maybe we coul-"

"Oh, by the way, cous! Jeongyeon told me to wait for her here. She'll be arriving any moment now. She mentioned wanting to explore some booths in our department with you," Chaeyoung swiftly stepped forward, blocking Jin Young's path as he tried to catch up with Sana and Chanty. Chaeyoung had intentionally positioned herself to obstruct Jin Young.
