She chose the type of coffee she wanted and returned the menu to the waiter, but Asira ordered another piece of cake for her and she muttered.

“I don't often eat cakes.”

"What's wrong? Don't like it? No wonder you're so skinny." He analyzed: "Or do you want to stay in shape like other girls?"

“No, my mother at home doesn't like it so I don't buy it.”

“It seems like you're very clingy to your mother.”

“No clinging, just me and mom together. As for my other relatives... they don't have much to do with me. She only has me so I don't want to hurt her."

Is that so?” He muttered. “What did your mother say that day when you brought so many people into the house?”

“That's my aunt's house. Our house is located in Mae-rim, Chiang Mai.”

“Eh, if you go to Bangkok to work, what will your mother do?”

“My mother is about to move to Bangkok so she asked me to apply for a job here. Mom said if I had a stable job, she would move with me."

"Ah." He nodded in response. “I understand, I passed by that place many times, saw your aunt selling cakes, I don't understand why you don't like to eat cakes. It turns out that's your aunt's house."

"Yes." She smiled, at that moment they both looked towards the parking lot in front of the building and saw a girl getting out of a silver Benz, which Dujapsorn recognized immediately. Asira stopped speaking and followed her eyes as she saw Kanlaya walking towards the door of the building with an impatient look on her face, before getting out to the car and leaving the place with the other girl. She immediately spoke up.

"They met for lunch. Her mother is a friend of Mrs. Kanlaya and said she had already booked a table."

Asira turned around and raised her eyebrows.

"Actually?"

“Yes, she said that while waiting for the first interviewer.”

“The lines of connection are literally everywhere.” He laughed loudly. “I was imagining how Mrs. Kanlaya would reply to her friend.”

“Maybe she won't dare copy your words to answer.” Dujapsorn quipped, causing Asira to lift her face and laugh out loud in amusement.

“I am a soldier, a straightforward person, I don't like to put on a false face. That woman is the type of character I would absolutely never get involved with.”

“You have very sharp eyes.” She sincerely praised.

“What made you come to that conclusion?”

"Not long into our conversation, she told me to go home because the position had been reserved for her, and an interview would be a waste of time."

“But you didn't come home.”

“No, I don't want a stain on my record. The company called me for an interview and then disappeared like that."

"Good girl." Asira praised, stopped talking for a moment, the waiter brought coffee and cakes in front of her, then spoke again. “That means my company is still lucky.”

“But she can come back and apply for another position.” She scoffed.

“But not my department.”

Dut-apsorn smiled slightly before picking up a small piece of cake and putting it in his mouth. She wasn't too used to eating alone with men, especially the one who was about to become her superior in the near future.
