A research professor developed feelings for a charming university student, not fully aware of how deep his emotions ran. He struggled to understand his own intense affection for the young man, leading him to question his own sexuality.
Despite never...
That evening, the parents met with each other, engaging in deep discussions for over an hour...
Eventually, the Jeon parents reached the conclusion that Tae and Kookie's relationship was indeed going steady and had surpassed their control. With this realization, they wholeheartedly agreed to accept it.
However, despite the resolution, Hobi remained bitter about the situation and avoided facing Kookie, even though he maintained a civil relationship with the Kims and Taehyung.
Concerned about Kookie's emotional well-being, the Jeon parents decided to send Kookie with the Kims to the resort, accompanied by Ryu and Jia, to shield him from any potential hurtful words from Hobi, as Kookie had already endured enough tears and exhaustion.
Meanwhile, Taehyung chose to stay back with the Jeons in hopes of convincing Hobi. That night, despite Hobi's reluctance to engage with Tae, Taehyung opted to stay by his side.... in his room... . . . . .
In Hobi's room..
"If you're here to convince me... then don't waste your efforts on me... I'm trying to forget I have a little brother. That way, it doesn't hurt because my parents said I have no say in his life... You don't need my approval... I'm no one...." Hobi sighed, his gaze fixed on the ceiling.
"We want your approval, hyung!! Kookie wants it... he's always been concerned about you and he cried... because your opinion matters to him," Taehyung pleaded, hoping to bridge the gap between Hobi and Kookie.
"Why would he cry??? I thought you were happy and totally unfazed by any of our opinions..." Hobi sighed, his frustration evident in his tone.
"That's not true, hyung... you know nothing about the hardships we went through, especially Kookie. He would cry randomly during lab sessions and classes... because he was worried that his brother would hate him once you found out about his sexuality," Tae explained, his voice tinged with sadness.
"What's there to cry about? He's happy despite my approval... It's a shame I didn't know anything about him since he left for university... I would have tried to dissuade him if I knew he was starting to develop feelings for men..." Hobi sighed.
"You can't talk him out of it... He was born this way," Tae said.
"Aren't you like a straight person??! How did you fall for?? Nevermind... forget I asked..." Hobi blurted out, his question revealing a mix of curiosity and confusion.
Taehyung sensed the tension in the room and decided to share their love story from his perspective. He recounted how he first met Kookie in class on the first day.
Tae proceeded to describe how he took Kookie to a gay club, elaborating on their journey together. He patiently answered Hobi's curious questions in between, despite Hobi's evident irritation.
As Taehyung narrated the story, Hobi's mood fluctuated like that of a bipolar patient, eventually siding with Kookie upon hearing about the fight they had.
Taehyung's revelation about how he had mistreated Kookie in the past struck a chord with Hobi. Despite his initial resistance, Hobi found himself supporting his brother's love while scolding Taehyung for not realizing Kookie's feelings earlier.
"How couldn't you see his love in all his actions?! That's so dumb of you," Hobi sighed frustrated.
"Yes! I was homophobic like you... only when I lost Kookie did I come to realize his value... Kookie is so precious... I don't want you to make the same mistake. It was a great struggle to gain his trust back... I don't want you to go through the same struggle, Hobi hyung... he loves his family... he loves you... he also loves me... Nothing can go wrong in love... Love is always love.." Taehyung pleaded earnestly.
And just like that, in one night, Taehyung managed to convince Hobi. Truly an exceptional professor!!! he taught what he had learned through his own experiences. . . . . .
Three months later....
In Seoul...
It was Kookie's graduation party, a joyous occasion marking the end of his academic journey. The private celebration was held in a hotel, with parents excluded from the guest list, but siblings and their families were welcomed. Each student could also bring their girlfriend or boyfriend.
Kookie couldn't invite Tae because he is a staff member of the university, and staff members are strictly not allowed to attend student graduation parties.
Hobi didn't even attend the graduation ceremony, so Kookie invited Mingyu in place of his sibling. However, Mingyu came as Jihyo's boyfriend. Despite being surrounded by friends, Kookie still felt lonely even before the party started. He missed Yoongi hyung, who was out of town.
However, his spirits soared when Yoongi and Hobi unexpectedly arrived, accompanied by their families and little Jia. Though Hobi hadn't spoken to Kookie in three months, he felt it was important not to miss his brother's special day.
Overwhelmed with joy, Kookie rushed to embrace Hobi and Yoongi, tears of happiness streaming down his face. Yoongi comforted him with a pat on the back before joining Mingyu, leaving Hobi and Kookie together.
Although they hadn't spoken during the past three months, Hobi and Kookie silently conveyed their acceptance and love for each other as they engaged in the games organized for siblings in the party.
It was a silent acknowledgment of their bond, and Hobi's heart swelled with pride as he saw Kookie's happiness and he is very much happy with his choice in Tae.
At the end of the party, as couples took to the dance floor, Kookie found himself dancing happily with little Jia...
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted as Tae made a grand entrance, not as a professor but as Kookie's loving boyfriend. Some students hissed at his presence, but Tae paid them no mind.

"Hey, fiancé! Will you marry me?" Tae declared, dropping to one knee in front of Kookie, holding out a bouquet of flowers and a dazzling diamond ring.
