Six years later_

"Morning!" I yawned as I entered the living room, Hizashi was sat on the sofa with a coffee in his hand and Shota, barely even awake beside him.

"Morning!" Hizashi screamed, using his quirk to probably wake up the entire damn neighbourhood. I quickly gasped and clasped my hands over my ears in a failed attempt to muffle out his freaking loud voice.

If Shota and our neighbours weren't awake, they definitely were now.

"You idiot, you need to shut up," Shota glared, annoyed, before massaging his temples, "it's too early for you to be so loud."

"I agree," I sighed as I walked to the kitchen counter, reaching for the cereal, pausing to glance over at the clock.

"Don't you need to be at UA early today? It's the entrance exams for the hero course and the general studies today," I asked, directing the question to both men on the sofa.

"Crap!" Hizashi cursed, jumping up from the sofa and sprinting over to the calendar, "it's today already?! I totally forgot!"

I let out a small laugh and shook my head as I decided on what cereal to eat.

"Well, I'm going to Mr Tech's support workshop today, he said I could use the spare bench because his apprentice is on holiday," I announced as I grabbed the (favourite cereal) box and poured it into a bowl, quickly grabbing the milk and then finishing the carton off.

"Why don't you apply for the support course at UA?" Shota suggested as he stood up from the sofa and grabbed his gear, quickly putting everything to where it belonged which didn't take long considering it was just a pair of goggles and his capture weapon.

"What? UA? Nah, I'd never get into there. Plus, I kind of just really enjoy my freedom at Mr Tech's support company, ya get me?" I replied as I grabbed a spoon and sat at the dining table.

"You should do it regardless," Shota said, "I think you'll enjoy being at UA. You'll learn a lot of new things under Power Loader's teachings as well."

"Nah," I waved the idea off, "I like working how I am."

Suddenly, Hizashi slammed his hands on the table and looked at me with that face that just screamed 'I have an idea and you're not going to like it'.

"You should join the support course!" he shouted, "then we can see each other every day! UA's power family!"

"Hizashi, I love you, but no, I can't deal with seeing you more than I already do," I replied, jokingly, "plus no offence, but UA seems like they wouldn't give me much freedom with what I create."

"It won't hurt to try though," Shota replied with a shrug as he passed me to get to the sink, not even missing a beat when he messed up my hair on his way past me, "you might end up liking it."

"You might even find your hidden soulmate while you're there too~" Hizashi said excitedly, I looked down at my pinkie finger and stared at the red thread attached to it.

"Hizashi, you already know my opinion on that stuff," I sighed, rolling my eyes as I spoke.

In our society, a person is defined by three things. The first, your social standing, you know, things like how rich or famous your family is. The second, your quirk, the strength and usefulness of it. Finally, the third—and apparently the most sought out one of them all—your soulmate. Everyone is born with a red thread that ties you to another person somewhere on this earth. Your significant other, the person who you share your fate with and all that sappy nonsense.

It was just one of the two huge changes that occurred in the world all those years ago. First, the appearance of quirks, second, the appearance of your fate thread. To begin, people believed it must've been a quirk, however, after over a century passed, people concluded that it had to just be something else because unless the quirk holder was immortal... there was no chance the quirk was sticking around this long. To be honest, I really couldn't care less if I found my soulmate or not, though I have to say, the notion makes me curious because... I have two Dads who display how great a soulmate bond is every day, so it makes me curious even if it's just a little bit.
