I just smiled and dropped my head down onto his shoulder.

"Thanks, Shota."

A couple of days later, I found myself standing looking around UA. You know, confused. Lost. All of that good stuff.

"Where is this training kitchen land place?" I asked no one in particular as I looked for a sign or something to help me out.

They should seriously put some signs up around here.

"Hey!" a voice shouted from behind me, I stopped and turned to see a pink-haired girl with a steampunk style outfit skipping over to me, a bright smile on her face.

"Hello," I greeted her, "are you here for the support class exam as well?"

"Indeed I am!" she exclaimed loudly before stretching her hand out, I took it, "I'm Mei Hatsume."

"Y/n Yamada," I introduced myself and she shook my hand before dragging me along.

"We're going to be late if we don't hurry!" she shouted back to me.

"R-right," I shouted back as I allowed her to drag me along behind her. If she knows where she's going, I'm not going to complain to her dragging me around.

"We're here!" she announced loudly, I looked up at the large building and followed, well—was dragged in by Hatsume, "I hope we both pass this exam, I see a lot of potential in you."

What do you mean? We've barely exchanged twenty words with each other.

"Uh—thanks, you too," I nodded to her as she walked away, how is she so confident and perky?

I shook my head and looked at the sheet I was given by a member of staff upon entering the building. I'm at workbench 10.

It took a while, but I got there, it was decent sized and had scrap materials on and tools, I put my own tool bag onto the bench and pushed the given ones to the side.

Looking around the room, you wouldn't think that the support industry is the second largest industry in the world, there's like, only 70 to 100 students here to take the exam. Weird.

"Alright!" the pro hero Power Loader appeared and caught our attention, "now that you're all here, let's start the exam. You have 30 minutes to create something that's appealing and functions well with the supplies on your workbench. If you've brought your own tools, feel free to use them but don't use any materials other than what has been provided."

30 minutes for a functioning and appealing object? Does it have to be support related or not? That's not enough information. But then again, I guess in the support industry we have to work in short circuit times and sometimes we only get vague descriptions sometimes not even a description but a really rough sketch.

So this is the support exam, huh? This is wild and stressful.

This is going to be fun.

"Time... starts... now!" he shouted. Straight away, I had my quirk working, glancing over the materials and then moments later, my gaze was on the plotter paper and a blueprint steadily developing in a slowly forming sketch, scribbling on labels and dimensions until, eventually, it ended up taking form of a small flying spy camera. Nice. Once I'd finished drawing, I switched over to constructing, my hands started moving on their own. Quickly pulling pieces of metal together, moulding them, screwing them together. Following the blueprints, I'd mapped out.

I did a quick test about 15 minutes in, it flew but it was really loud. Like it was on a level loud enough to challenge even Hizashi's volume levels.

I needed to change that... I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out how I could adjust my invention.
