"Is my dad okay?" Stiles asked as they drove. Scott had taken the jeep with him and Lydia, his mom going home to get some sleep before work.

"He's fine," Scott said, slamming a fist on the dashboard as it randomly started blowing out hot air. It fizzled and turned on the radio. "Just very worried about you. We should probably go to the hospital after we see Deaton, just to make sure you're okay."

"I feel great, honestly." Stiles rubbed a hand on the back of his neck. "A little tired, sure, but I don't feel like I was running for my life in my sleep or anything whacked."

"What do you remember?" Lydia asked, still in the backseat. Stiles drummed his fingers on the window and shrugged.

"I...remember having a seizure on the way home from work with my dad. He'd left his lights on his cruiser or something. And...then I remember waking up under the jeep. I don't know what happened in between. Honest. It's super weird, it's like a black hole."

Scott glanced back at Lydia, setting his jaw and squeezing the wheel. The wheel that had a strip of duct tape at the top from where Stiles' head had bashed into it. It had just been a small skid mark, but since the sheriff had been unable to scrub all the blood from it, he had slapped some duct tape onto it so he wouldn't have to look at it. Remind him of how much it had hurt his son.

For some reason, the fact that Stiles wasn't freaking out to be in the jeep puzzled Scott. The sheriff had told him how upset Stiles had been when he had showed it to him, right before both his son and the vehicle had disappeared.

Something wasn't right.

"It's been two days since you had that seizure." Scott swallowed, running his thumb over the duct tape on the wheel, imagining how it could have caused all this. "I saw you yesterday, remember? I dropped by after school to say hi, but...you were a little..."

"Agitated?" Stiles asked, and Scott nodded. "I'm sorry, Scott, I...I don't know what happened. But I don't think that was me, I---"

His voice stiffened and cut off, and Scott tore his gaze off the road for one second to see him staring straight ahead, blinking and swallowing rapidly.

That one second was all it took for Scott to nearly swerve off the road. Lydia screamed as he righted the vehicle, which made a huge whine of protest and randomly switched the radio station. He slammed a fist at it again, and it switched off.

"S--sorry!" Scott stammered. "Hang in there, Stiles! We're almost there!"

Stiles groaned, hand grasping repeatedly at the end of his shirt and head twitching. He stilled a moment later, and that's when the panic set in.

He violently shrank back against his seat, heartbeat nearly exploding out of his chest.

"N--no, what--what am I doing in here?!" he cried, arms grasping at his seatbelt and the car door as if he were penned in. "Let me out!"
