~ Kaeya ~
When Kaeya was sent to Sumeru, he wasn't expecting someone to reveal his secret!
"Your ancestors are Khaeri'ahian are they not?" Rex Lapis asked.
Then the whole room went deadly silent.
Kaeya could practically hear the rain of that day. The day he lost everything.
The day he lost his brother.
The day of his father's funeral.
'Stop it! It's been years. I should be over it' Kaeya thought to himself as he shook away the memories.
Instead of panicking, Kaeya laughed and said, "What gave you that ridiculous idea?"
"Yeah! You better have proof to back a claim like that." Venti Barbatos said.
"As you know Barbatos, I was there when Khaeri'ah fell. I also have seen Khaeri'ahians after the fallout. And all of them have eyes like him." Rex Lapis stated.
Kaeya flinched.
"Come now, that's ridiculous. I have never seen a Khaeri'ahian. And my nation was no closer to where it was then you." Furina said.
"Though that may be true. You forget that You had just taken over Fontaine back then." Rex Lapis stated.
"Ok that's fair."Furina said.
"There's no way he's Khaeri'ahian. I would know. We hang out all the time." Barbatos said. Then he turned to him and added. "Right Kaeya?"
"I...." Kaeya didn't know how to respond.
He could deny it! He could deny it intel he was blue in the face. But then what? Everyone here would be able to spread rumors about a Cavalry Captain who isn't a Mondstater. But if he told the truth.... Then what? He had kept this secret for 22 years with the exception of once five years ago. He knew what he had to do, what he always does. Tell a half truth.
" * Sigh * Fine! I will admit it.... My ancestor was from there." Kaeya said with his usual fake confidence. "But, that in no way affects who I am. I was raised in Mondstadt! That makes me one of them."
~ Ei ~
In all honesty, Ei had no idea what was going on!
First, the puppet she had set free all those years ago was here. And he was nothing like she remembered.
Second, Miko lost her Gnosis. To a harbinger no less. There would be a serious conversation with her about that later.
And Third, a Descendant of the nation that started the War that killed her sister was in this meeting.
"And I thought Sumeru was going to be the only nation that was gonna get exposed." Wanderer said with a laugh.
"WANDERER!" Buer scolded.
"Oh come oh! You gotta admit this is entertaining!" Wanderer said.
He was just so different.
What happened to the puppet who cried? Who crypted him to the point he finds over's suffering amusing?
"Why.. Why was I not informed?" Barbatos asked.
"Oh? Right, it must have slipped my mind." The Khaeri'ahian said as he rolled his eyes. "Like I would share that information with someone I couldn't trust to keep his mouth shut."
Ei had no interest in the Khaeri'ahian. Or in Khaeri'ah for that matter. She had made peace with the death of Baal. There's no need to punish this child for something that happened almost five hundred years before his birth.
She shifted her focus on the puppet who now calls himself Wanderer.
'How have you been faring?' Ei asked Wanderer very much like the way she suspected he used to speak to his friend earlier.
'Since when do you care?' Wanderer snapped.
"Kuni.." Ei started but Wanderer put up his mental block so she couldn't reach him.
Ei flinched. Was she so bad at explaining things that he hates her? She gave him freedom. What else was she supposed to do?
Well there was no point in trying to talk to him.
So she turned her attention back to the group.
"How can we trust you? Your people betrayed the gods!" Said the general from Watatsumi island who has now stood up and blocked the Priestess from view.
Ei had apparently missed quite a bit. The people who are more than likely the peacekeepers were trying to say something to make this end but were failing. The Khaeri'ahian was now standing and unintentionally dropping the temperature of the room. Barbatos was scratching his head on how he could be so deceived. And Rex Lapis was just sitting there watching the chaos happen.
"Last I checked, didn't you betray your own god?" Kunikuzshi asked.
"ALRIGHT! THAT IS ENOUGH!" Ei yelled. Everyone was silent so she continued. "We are here to speak of our mutual problem with the Fatui. NOT START A WAR."
"Starting a war? Now why would you do that without me?" A voice said from the entrance.
~ Childe ~
When Tartaglia heard that there was going to be an Archon meeting without him. He was offended. Afterall, he has been in three major events for different nations. He should at least Be invited.
So when he heard that it was taking place in Sumeru and what day it was happening on. He just had to show up.
What he didn't expect was that even Zhongli would be there.
"Well well if it isn't my pal Zhongli. Why didn't you tell me that you were visiting Sumeru?" Tartaglia asked.
Zhongli set down his cup of tea, then said. "Because I thought you were in Snezhnaya. Also I knew you wouldn't be welcome here."
Tarataglia gasped. "Whaat? I'm not welcome?"
"YES! So go back to your master, PEST." Some guy in a weird hat said.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Childe asked to purposely annoy that guy.
"He is my son! But that is none of your concern." The Electro Archon said.
"How did you get a son?" Childe asked.
"THAT IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN LIKE SHE STATED." the Iudex said.
"GET LOST FATUI SCUM." The Anemo Archon yelled.
"I have to agree. You aren't welcome, please leave." The Dendro Archon said.
"Fine! I know when I'm not welcome." Childe said as he left.
