i know rutger was drafted in 2022 but for the purpose of the story he will be drafted in 2023. It won't be that important, he'll still go eighth and to winnipeg.
The University of Michigan was playing Boston University, which isn't too far away from the Boston College campus. Ellie had been wanting to make it to one of Rutgers games so badly, but she never had a chance. She led her and Will through the crowd to where she found Teddy and Leo in their seats.
Devin and Quinn would be arriving in a few minutes, and Ellie was so excited to meet Devin in person. She had met Quinn when Rutger and Luke played together and the two had become in Ellie's eyes, best friends.
They sat pretty high up in the lower bowl so Rutger couldn't see her and Will sitting together and flip out. That hope was short lived because Rutger took a stupid roughing penalty after seeing his sister sitting in the stands with a boy.
Sure Rutger didn't mind Will. Will was a nice kid, was a good hockey player and treated his sister right. But it was his 'brotherly duty' to be mean to Will for at least a little bit.
