CHAPTER 8:-CONCERNS UNVEILED

Start from the beginning

Krishna receives a sudden call, interrupting the celebratory atmosphere. "Sir, we have a problem," the voice on the other end declares urgently.

"What's that?" Krishna responds, his tone laced with concern.

"Sir, Epro test failed for the second time," the caller explains, his voice tinged with regret.

"What?" Krishna's voice thunders with disbelief. His veins started boiling in anger. The latter couldn't believe his ears...."Do something! We've already launched its name in the market."

"Sir, we're sorry... but we won't be able to make it," the caller admits sheepishly.

"If you can't make it, why should I employ you and pay you lakhs of salary? Just to say this? Bloody incapable!" Krishna's frustration boils over, his patience wearing thin.

"Sir, please! There is still a way," the caller implores.

"What's that?" Krishna demands, his voice softer but still tinged with annoyance.

"Sir, there is an Indian research scholar who has a PhD in this subject. She could definitely complete this project," the caller suggests hopefully.

"See, this project is your responsibility. No matter the challenges, never show your incompetence," Krishna admonishes sternly.

"Sorry, sir..."

"Okay, email me her details... I'll take care of it," Krishna concedes, his mind already racing with potential solutions.

"Yes, sir..."

"What's her name?" Krishna inquires, curiosity piqued.

"Vrindha Senthilnathan, sir! She has also been nominated for the Biopharma Excellence Award this year," the caller informs him.

The name Vrindha echoes in Krishna's mind, resonating with a sense of familiarity. "Vrindha... Sounds unique," he muses to himself. "But why do I keep hearing it everywhere?"

Little does Krishna know, the threads of fate are already weaving a tangled web, intertwining his destiny with that of a certain enigmatic woman named Vrindha.

The phone rang incessantly in the hospital hallway, its shrill tone echoing off the sterile walls. With a sigh, the boss, seated on a hard plastic chair outside Vrindha's hospital room, reached out to answer, his weary gaze fixed on the closed door.

Boss: (gruffly) "What is it?"

On the other end of the line, in a faraway land, the Mystery Man leaned back in his chair, his brows furrowing with concern, the soft hum of distant voices filling the air.

Mystery Man: (calmly) "Ah, my dear uncle, always straight to the point. No time for pleasantries, I see."

The boss's stern demeanor softened slightly at the endearment, though he quickly regained his composure.

Boss: "Cut to the chase. What's the matter?"

The Mystery Man's voice, tinged with emotion, carried across the miles, reaching the boss with a sense of urgency.

Mystery Man: "It's about Vrindha, uncle."

At the mention of her name, a flicker of concern crossed the boss's face, quickly masked by a sense of duty.

Boss: "What about her? She messed up, and now she's paying the price.

Mystery Man: "Indeed, she has, uncle. But have you considered the toll it's taking on her?"

The boss glanced toward the closed door, a pang of guilt tugging at his heart.

Boss: "What do you mean?"

Mystery Man: "Vrindha is more than just an employee, uncle. She's a young woman with dreams and aspirations, burdened by the weight of her past. If not for me, her life would have been in a very desirable way."

There was a heaviness in the Mystery man's voice, a depth of emotion that caught the boss off guard.

Boss: "And what would you have me do?"

Mystery Man: "I would have you show her mercy, uncle. Suspend her, withdraw your shares from her laboratory. Let her face the consequences of her actions, yes, but also give her the opportunity to explore the world beyond the confines of this NGO."

The boss's jaw tightened, the weight of the decision pressing down on him.

Boss: "Is that mercy? And if she resents me for it? If she sees it as punishment?"

Mystery Man: "Let her, uncle. Let her feel the weight of her actions, even as she fights against them. In time, she will see that what you're doing is not out of malice, but out of love and duty. A love and duty that want her to experience the world beyond 'me'... beyond the confines of this NGO."

With that, the line went dead, leaving the boss to ponder how things could have been smooth if destiny didn't play in their lives.
