"Answer the question." Sera demanded.
The boy couldn't have been much older than thirteen, but he had good height for his age; around five-ten maybe.
Chris seemed to raise his right hand cautiously, as if he were going to blast them if they took another step closer.
"Who's asking?" He asked, the thick eyebrows drawn across his forehead furrowing.
Bianca and Sera shared an amused expression.
The corvus could sense his fear from miles away, it was strong. But it wasn't directed at the two of them, it was for someone else.
"A whitelighter?" Bianca whispered, nudging Sera's arm a bit.
Sera shook her head. He didn't have the soulless eyes as every other whitelighter she'd ever met. They might've been angels, but they weren't always pure.
"No..." She muttered, examining the boy further. "You are Chris, aren't you?"
His jaw clenched as she repeated the same question from before, still waiting on an answer. He didn't seem to want to obey them.
Sera wished she was acting as hostile as he and Bianca were, but she just couldn't get passed his features. How could someone so beautiful be the brother to such a devil?
Chris's lips parted, indicating that he wasn't about to answer any questions. Bianca's nostrils flared, she was becoming impatient with him.
"I'm Seraphina Nichols." Sera informed him, grabbing the sleeve of her best friends arm as the witch slid forward.
Chris gave her a slight nod, then turned his attention over to Bianca.
The assassin witch paused and huffed out a sigh, catching his gaze. It was quite powerful for someone with so little darkness. His eyes ripped right through their intended targets.
"Bianca." Bianca said, sparing him a fake-half-smile.
Sera jabbed her in the side with an elbow.
"You don't need to know my last name." She finished, jabbing the corvus back.
Bianca shot her a look before striding forward, causing Chris to back up into a shelf behind him. The objects shook, startling him.
"Well, you both seem to know who I am already..." He stated, focus dodging between the two of them.
Bianca continued to get closer.
"You're Wyatt Halliwell's brother." Sera breathed out, doing her best not to grimace at the mention of the demon's name.
The boys expression faltered. A mix of embarrassment and anger flooded through the room.
Sera guessed she wasn't the only one who hated that name.
"Unfortunately, yes." He mumbled, stumbling as Bianca stopped a foot away from him. "What does that matter to you two?"
Sera hurried forward. Bianca was practically pinning him in the corner, looking him up and down as she was a predator about to collect her next meal.
What the hell was she trying to do?
"B, come on." Sera said with a sigh, grabbing the witch's arm. "Leave the boy alone."
Bianca rolled her eyes and stepped back, shrugging the corvus's hand off of her.
Chris's eyes shot over to Sera. "You're not human."
