Elle POV

Noah and I arrived in Boston, 2 days before the start of our football and soccer camps. Even though we did the exact same trip I did with Lee, 16 months ago, the trip was very different. With Lee, it had been the spontaneity of our emotions and we had a tight schedule. Noah, for his part, planned our road trip in advance by splitting the distance to make it less unpleasant by doing activities along the way. My memories of this road trip are memorable.

We hiked in Missouri, visited the Indianapolis motor speedway museum then Niagara Falls in the Buffalo area before arriving in Boston. It was special to do activities that Noah and I enjoyed while we traveled between our two homes. I have rarely seen Noah as excited as when we admired the race cars at the Indianapolis Museum. He has always loved mechanics since he was very young. I remember when I was 8 years old, he fixed my bike to be forgiven for hitting Lee. I found him so talented! He spent the visit telling me about the different types of engines and what made them more efficient. I admit that I didn't understand much but I loved seeing him so happy to share his passion with me. And of course, I told him that taking care of our cars was always going to be part of his responsibilities. He asked me why, to which I replied that it was written on the marriage contract he signed. He then whispered in my ear with a smirk that he had not read the contract since the only prospect of making me a Flynn, he had it signed from the moment the celebrant gave him the pen. Typically Noah, I thought, shaking my head.

After 5 days of road trip, I was happy when Noah headed to Boston for the first time. The summer in LA was good, the drive back was a nice discovery but I was happy to be home. When I was able to drop our bags off in our room, make a latte in my kitchen and then stretch out on my lounge chair in the sun while my husband cooked skewers for dinner, I was grateful to have arrived. Home Sweet Home

In the evening, coming out of the shower, I found my husband sitting on the couch looking at his phone :
- I am writing to my mother to tell her that we have arrived safely!" he said to me, keeping his eyes on the phone.
- Did you have plans for the evening?" I said to him as I sat down on the couch next to him.
- Mmmmm?" he said to me, putting his hand on his chin. "I remember when we started making this apartment ours, we stopped at our bedroom.

I burst out laughing at the memory of that morning when Lee showed up at our door, cutting Noah off in his romantic impulses.
- I figured we could pick up where we left off." he said to me, pulling on the belt of my dressing gown.
- What if someone knocks at the door?" I said to him, bursting out laughing.
- I do not respond!" he whispered in my ear before taking me in his arms and carrying me to our room. "And anyway, Lee is supposed to be on the other side of the country.

Once placed on our bed, I looked at him and said :
- You realize that we will be making love mostly in this bed for probably the next 5 years.
- I'm counting on it and we're going to start right away, Elle Flynn.
- It always feels weird when you call me that.
- For my part, I find it thrilling to remember that I made you mine ... and I want you in every part of my world." he said to me before making me feel euphoric.

The next morning, Noah wasn't in bed with me. He told me yesterday that with the wedding and our travels, he had had little time to go jogging and that he was afraid of finding the start of football camp difficult due to lack of workout. I got up and made my way to the kitchen. Saturday morning is homemade waffle morning at the Evans' house so I started looking for the waffle oven that we got as a wedding gift among the boxes that we had left in the middle of the living room last night. I found a waffle batter recipe online and got to work. I was surprised to hear Noah come home 30 minutes after I woke up :
- Mmmmm! It smells really good!" he said to me as he entered the kitchen, breathing in the smell of waffles cooking.
- Already!" I said to him in surprise. "I didn't think you'd be back for at least an hour.
- It's really raining a lot today. I decided not to go outside and instead went to the gym here. It's really practical! I'll probably go swimming in the pool this afternoon to get my workout in.
- Good idea! I'll probably go with you.
- Ok and we could have a race to see who gets to empty the trash this week." he said to me with a wink.
