'Our vows...'

It was morning, Cross had woken up before Nightmare.
They were still in bed together. For some reason, he was up first.

Not like he got much sleep last night anyways.

He sat up in bed, his complete gaze on his lover beside him.
This time, he didn't smile, instead a frown made it'd way upon his face.

'Last night...with that women'

He swiftly got out of bed, changed, and left their bedchambers.
Quickly making his way downstairs.

"Your Grace?"

Cross stopped in his tracks as his focus now went towards the person whom spoke to him.
"I-Ink, Good m-morning"

"Good morning, your Grace"
Ink bowed his head in respect before speaking once more.
"May I ask why your up so early?"

"Oh, I w-wasnt tired a-anymore.."

Ink grew confused, something was definitely wrong with the monochrome but before he could ask anything further, Cross walked past him straight to the kitchen.

He needed something, some coffee perhaps. In truth, he was rather tired.

                             ••••

Cross was in his study, he was working on paperwork, he's gone through 3 cups of coffee already.
God, he was tired.

His mind still racing about the other night.
It's like a pinch in his soul, it hurt so badly.
He knew that sometimes royal or those of higher standards take more then one partner, so he shouldn't be so hurt...right?

There wasn't anything like this in their vows.

Cross sighed, wiping his tears before placing his head down.
He closed his eyes and not to long after he fell asleep.

                            ••••

"Cross?"

"Cross?"

"Dearest?"

Cross groaned, being shaken awake.
He lifted his head from his desk, to view the person beside him.
He jolted when he said it was Nightmare.

"M-My Lord!"

Nightmare raised a brow.
"Cross, are you alright?"
Placing a comforting hand on the smallers shoulder.

Oh

"I-im okay, My Lord."

Nightmare blinked.
He didn't seem too convinced, he started to wonder if Cross was hiding something from him.

He was about to ask when a knock on the door was heard.

"C-Come in."

Ink soon walked through those doors, bowing his head in respect.

"Forgive me for intruding, My Lords, but it's nearly time to go out to the city."
