CHAPTER TWO: Noah
My gaze was set on the bright kingdom. The ruler was born on the same day as Mahashivaratri. So they celebrated her birthday grandly as if she were a saviour worthy enough to save lives. Maybe she did. Maybe not.
But what about the lives that she stepped on? Was everyone going to turn a blind eye to her crimes? Of course! Her crimes were regarded as a medal to heroism, to peace, a chosen one? My foot! They called her the blessed curse. All she did was curse us.
"Hey! Keep working!" A whip hit my back, but I stood still, unwavering.
"Yes..." I mutter with a smile as I adjust the sack of sand on my back.
Walking into the storage, I throw it down. Sighing and walking back out. There was only one person I'd call an actual saviour. The masked beauty. Who is it? I don't know. But when the so-called Duchess of the Emperor and the Maharani of Aryavarta was busy earning the name of 'the blessed curse' and ignored the poor victims.
The masked beauty was the one to save us. Me, and many others. And that led me to this very situation. I made my way till here. Only to be treated worse than a servant. I walked out of the storage and looked at the browns haired man with a badly done beard. Oh! My bad, there was no beard.
"What are you looking at you scum!" He kicked my ribs. I stumble back and chuckle.
"All this because I spoke the truth about the queen?"
"You!" He roared and kicked my shin, forcing me to kneel. "You don't get to speak about my future spouse!" He yelled, kneeing my face.
Not gonna lie, that did hurt. But the awkward silence that followed his words made up for it.
"Oh? You have feelings for the queen? Classic. But, I don't think she'll marry you," I smirk and look up at him.
He was fuming now. He grabbed my neck and threw me back into the warehouse. I groan and stumble back.
He was fuming with anger as he walked towards me. He unsheathed his sword and sliced my arms, but didn't cut them off. I groan in pain at the cuts.
"Because she warned me not to kill anyone...is the only reason you'll be alive. But she didn't tell me not to torture you, did she?" He grinned and kicked my groin. I fell onto my knees.
"Bad move...like what are you? A defenceless girl?" I croaked out only to be kicked in my mouth.
I tasted the grim and blood. Before I could do anything, he hit my head with the sheath of his sword and pushed me back into the room before going out and locking it. The last thing I saw was the empty darkness in the room.

The first thing I saw. Was the door being opened by a lady dressed in green and red. I blink a few times and push myself to stand. I couldn't see her properly, but her brown eyes felt familiar.
"Oh, finally, you're done making me repent?" I spoke up.
The lady stepped inside and gave me a clear view of her elegance. My eyes trailed down her, taking in her beauty. She looked like a goddess. Maybe she was Aphrodite? Or maybe I was dreaming of Elysium.
"Oh? I guess I reached Elysium...such a pretty deity..." I mumbled as I forced myself up, walking, but ended up stumbling to her.
She had a slight brown complexion. Her hair was the darkest of green, almost black. Her nose was adorned with a golden ring, which was connected to a chain that reached her ear. Her long hair flowed behind her. Her lips were rosy, yet I could spot their roughness.
