What Are You Waiting For?

It had been three or four weeks since Brown had been brought over to the TV Base originally. He had settled in well, been placed permanently with Polycephaly in his quarters, had found many new friends in the TV units there and also settled into a routine helping out in different places where he could, the main place being at the crèche. It seemed his near daily visits was helping bring down the vanishing incidents with Vestel as the little goober did not want to miss out on time with his 'Unca Bwon'. Today was going to be a bit of a special day for both Brown and Vestel however. Brown had been given permission to take Vestel out for some one on one time as he'd been so good and keeping to his promise to not teleport unless an adult told him he could. When time allowed Polycephaly even joined Brown on the crèche visits to see if he could start teaching Vestel some of the dangers as it was getting closer to the time where Vestel and his nine 'siblings' would graduate from toddler stage to teenager stage. Getting to the airlock system and gaining entry from the TV unit on guard there, as Brown walked through aiming to get to the younger ones room at the end of the corridor, the teenagers were walking from their sleeping area to their training area and all gave Brown a high five as they all passed him as he stood waiting for them to go by. Getting to the doors, Brown pushed them open to the delighted shrieks of the ten little goobers in there, all swarming him for head pats and little scritches along their head casings. After a little time of this, he scooped up Vestel into a hug, who pushes his screen right into Brown's chest with his tiny hands bunching in the fabric of Brown's top.

"Right now you lot, Today is the day Vestel and I are going on a little field trip. We'll be doing a field trip for everyone later in the week if Vestel here shows he can be a good little TV unit and listen to instructions alright? We'll be back later on and I will play with you all some before bedtime ok?"

Hearing some light moaning and groaning from the nine that were going to be left behind Brown gave them all little head pats again and watches as they toddle off to play together. Bringing Vestel up to sit on his shoulder and holding him there with his hand, Brown starts walking out nodding to some of the attendants who look relieved to not be the ones to take Vestel out on a field trip. Taking the little goober around and listening to him gabber on about the different things he was seeing was quite funny, it reminded Brown of when he first came to the TV base and Polycephaly had taken him around on his own large shoulder showing Brown around while the Cameraman prattled on. Taking Vestel into the break room to see some of the adults in there, TV Woman was in there among some of the other TV units that Brown knew. Seeing Vestel on Brown's shoulder TV Woman got up and started tickling the little goober as he started giggling.

"Duo field trip?" She asked.

"He's been so good, I figured we'd see how good he'd be if he came out for a walk about. Thinking maybe a t I t a n visit might be a good idea, if he's in of course. One goober is easier to keep an eye on than ten after all."

"The Titan? Yeah he's in." At hearing this from one of the other TV units there, Brown groans, he'd deliberately spelled it out for a reason.

"Ti'an? We see Ti'an today? Unca Bwon, we seeing Ti'an? I wana see Ti'an! Pwomise I won't telpwot and I be good! Pwease!" Pulling Vestel down from his shoulder and holding him in both hands looking straight into his screen, Brown just started laughing.

"Yes you little goober, I was going to take you to see the Titan if he was in and free but I wasn't going to tell you just in case he was busy. We will go in and if he says no well, we'll find something else fun to do alright? Maybe go and raid the tailors for some spare fabric so we can play dress up or something." Bringing Vestel into the crook of his arm and letting the little one get comfy as Brown looks down at him, again being struck by the thought of Polycephaly doing the exact same thing for him not too long ago.
