With my Best Friend

When Carly's alarm went off, and she woke up for work, Drew was still sleeping. She slowly got off the bed, grabbed her phone and went to the bathroom. When she checked her phone, Jenny had messaged her 10 times and called her twice. She texts Jenny back, "Morning meeting before work." She sets her phone down on the sink, and turns the water on. She undresses, and gets in. She's almost done with her shower, Drew steps in behind her. When she turns around, he's smiling from ear to ear. "I'm glad we did that." He caresses her face and kisses her. She smiles back, "Me too. I have to hurry, I have a morning meeting with Jenny." He replies, "Okay" with a kiss. She steps out, dries off, and gets ready for work. Before she leaves, she asks, "Are you coming over tonight?" He tells her, "Of course, if you want. I don't want to overstay my welcome or rush anything, but if you want me here that's where I'll be and it'll be my pleasure!" she kisses Drew with a goodbye.
She meets Jenny at the coffee shop replaying her last night without giving too much away. "That's amazing, Carly! I'm so happy for you!" She's still smiling, "Thank you! How are you and Leo?" Jenny smiles and looks down, " We are great," looking up at Carly, "Still like the honeymoon phase!" They giggle, then Carly gets serious. "If there was anything wrong with y'all, you would tell me, right? I just want to make sure you know I'm always here for you." Jenny hugs Carly, "Of course, I know that. Like the back of my hand!" The girls hugged and said their goodbyes, they both went to work.
Towards the end of her shift, her boss asked her to come to his office. It wasn't uncommon, she's his assistant, so she didn't think anything of it. He locked the door after her arrival to the office. She started getting scared, but he then started talking about a trip he has to take for work and he wanted her to go with him. As he was explaining, he started putting his hands on her body. She stood up, and declined. He pushed her against the wall and said, "If you decline this trip, well, I'd look for another job if I were you." She kicked him between the legs and punched him in the face. "I'd stay away from me if I were you." She unlocked the door and ran to her car. She just sat there, taking deep breaths, taking control of her nerves. With shaky hands she calls Drew. Once she hears his voice, she can't help but cry uncontrollably. He tries to calm her telling her, "It's okay. I'm right here." He must've said it twenty times, but he didn't care when it comes to her. He'd say it a million more if it calmed her down and made her feel safe. Through her tears she asked him, "Can you head to my house, already? I'm about to head there now and I need you." He replies, "Of course, I'll be there ASAP." She pauses, "Drew?" He says, " Yeah?" She tells him, "I love you, and thank you for being there." He's smiling and she can feel it. "I'll always be here for you." They said their goodbyes. She calls Jenny and puts her phone on speaker as she starts driving home. She tells Jenny about what her boss did and starts crying. She told her she's heading home now, and Drew is coming over. Jenny tells her to call if she needs anything and they say their goodbyes.
She arrives at her house, and someone pulls in behind her. She notices the car, and locks her car doors and calls Drew back to warn him. He answers but disconnects immediately. She turns her car back on, and so do they. She drives off and they follow her, she loses them then drives to Drew's house. He's not home. She drives back to her house taking his usual route. 3 1/2 miles into the drive, there is an accident. Drew's car. She pulls over and tells the EMT she's the kin he has here. He lets her ride in the ambulance to the hospital.
