CRK x Reader - Oneshots and Headcanons!

Ah, the Golden Cheese Kingdom... The kingdom of abundance, gold and riches. But, not only that- it was also the kingdom of Cheesebirds. A bit of an odd hobby of C/N Cookie's was how she took quite an interest in birds. With the Golden Cheese Kingdom being filled up with Cheesebirds and also bird-like Cookies, she always felt content to be calling this her homeland. Some Cheesebirds sometimes showed up at her windowsill or balcony, giving C/N Cookie the delight of greeting and studying them. They were just such cute and interesting creatures to her!

She was also confidantes, friends even, with the queen, Golden Cheese Cookie. Who never failed to amaze C/N Cookie, she was just so magnificent! Her arrogant yet cheerful personality always lifted the mood. And her gold-colored wings were a true sight to behold as well. C/N Cookie just couldn't help but like her.

One time, C/N Cookie was in the golden palace for a visit to Golden Cheese Cookie. The two chatted over tea and the most finest sweets, of course the queen only wants the best of the best in, well, everything. "Of course, Dark Cacao Cookie couldn't handle my joking, that old killjoy. So I-" Golden Cheese Cookie told stories about her and her fellow Ancient Heroes. Whilst the H/C-ette female loved listening to those, her eyes shifted to the queen's wings.

Then, C/N Cookie felt like her mind was playing a trick on her. There was a small flutter of Golden Cheese Cookie's wings, so slow that no one would even notice it. Huh. How funny! C/N Cookie could've sworn she's read about this kind of movement in an article about birds courtship. But surely it's just her imagination, right? She just hasn't been getting enough sleep or something.

However, it was quickly proved that C/N Cookie's bird-watcher skills seemed to deceive her a lot more in the future. Literally every single time she laid eyes upon Golden Cheese Cookie, the excact same flutter of wings followed. Every time, it looked more and more like a coutship dance, but the queen never mentioned it. C/N Cookie even did some research again and again, but every article and every internet source said the same: courtship dance.This just couldn't be a coincidence anymore, even when C/N Cookie kept on telling herself that. Was she going crazy?

That's it. She will confront Golden Cheese Cookie about it as soon as possible. Maybe the queen had no idea she was doing that. Just- C/N Cookie needed some reasonable explaination for this to be cleared up! As she impatiently paced around her room, thinking about meeting up with Golden Cheese Cookie. However she stopped in her tracks when soft tapping was coming from her window. A Cheesebird. And it.. had a letter clasped in its beak? C/N Cookie opened the window and thanked the little creature, patting its head and taking the letter before it flew away again.

Huh. An invitation from Golden Cheese Cookie to come to the palace for dinner. Quite convenient. Alright then, C/N Cookie will ask her about it then. She just hopes she'll be able to get out words over her slight nervousness and the golden sovereign won't take it badly.

Golden Cheese Cookie's talking filled up C/N Cookie's ears, yet she wasn't really able to focus much on her words. Rather, her eyes trailed over the magnificent wings that adorned her back. Yet again, a flutter. Should she ask her about it now? Let's hope this'll not go by too severe.

"Golden Cheese Cookie..." The H/C-ette sighed, not being able to bring out more words than she had planned. She wouldn't want to make Golden Cheese Cookie uncomfortable or anything. But the queen noticed her halt, as she stops in her speech as well. "Is there anything you wish to say, C/N Cookie?" She asked, a chill yet curious look present on her face.

When C/N Cookie didn't continue, she reached her hand over the table and took hers. "Come on. What's the matter?" C/N Cookie looked at Golden Cheese Cookie for a bit, before taking one deep breath. "Maybe it's just my imagination.. but, uh.." She gulped, a bit reluctant to say this next part. "Could it be.. that you're courting me?"

Golden Cheese Cookie fell silent, which had the other female praying she's not mad. Then, she laughed suddenly. "My, my! Took you long enough to figure it out." C/N Cookie just stared at her, confused. But then a vibrant blush filled her face and her heartbeat picked up speed as realisation set in. The queen had actually courted her!

Her laughing fit died down, and she gives C/N Cookie's hand a gentle squeeze. "Yes indeed. I have been courting you. I just had my difficulties expressing myself, you see.." She starts, her tone mixed with both pride and admiration. "But I'd like if we could be something more than friends."

'More than friends?' C/N Cookie repeated in her head, not quite believing the current situation. Well, she did always like Golden Cheese Cookie.. It was just that she had never thought about an actual relationship with the queen. So she blurted out the first thing that came to her mind. "YES! I'd like to date you!" Who would've thought the leader of the Golden Cheese Kingdom fell for her.. Well, they'll be a powerful couple together, that's for sure.
