———Draco groaned at the sun hitting his eyes, 8:15. Five minutes before alarms went off and forty-five minutes before the start of their first class. His eyes wandered to the other side of the room where Harry was still sleeping, mouth slightly ajar, soft snores playing from his mouth. He couldn't help the sharp breath he took when he caught sight of Harry's face, his neck and cheek bruised, his lip split. Draco wanted nothing more than to heal him, but he couldn't risk Harry knowing they'd been seen.
Draco knew he couldn't ignore the topic; he had to talk to him about it, tonight. His racing thoughts about how to begin the conversation were soon disrupted when the 8:20 alarm sounded, Draco closed his eyes, quick to make the decision of faking sleep.
Some rustling was heard before a quiet curse was spoken, hearing some more movement before all went quiet, he slowly opened his eyes now seeing the other boy sitting on the bed all the wounds now gone. "You alright?"
A simple nod was his reply, then starting to get ready, Draco not even getting up yet. Harry broke the surprisingly comfortable silence, "I don't remember what my first lesson is."
"We have potions first; you haven't picked up your schedule?"
Shaking his head, "I think I forgot it in my old dorm, felt so tired just wanted to sleep when we got here."
Draco pushed himself up on his elbows, "Me and you head to potions then pick up your schedule before second?"

First part of your day when you're a Hogwarts student; breakfast in the Great Hall. Harry was nervous, this was his first time sitting at the Slytherin table and that was a scary thought, he knew most, if not all, students were speaking about his recent house change. The idea of walking into that hall, all eyes on him and his new uniform was daunting but he knew he had to face it. They sat next to each-other, Draco sharing some small talk with a few dormmates, Harry staying quiet. "Hey, I know you're pretty popular here but is there anyone you want me to introduce you to or anything?"
"No thank you."
After some more small talk, silence fell between the two of them, but it was a comfortable silence; one that they both appreciated.
When it came time to eat, Draco had his plate full, Harry's nearing empty, claiming to not be very hungry. He had hoped his lack of eating would go unnoticed but as his luck would have it, Draco had noticed and had made a mental note to mention it in their upcoming conversation that night.
The first lesson of the day was uneventful, the class only brushing up on some potions they'd learned last year and talking about the reading they were supposed to complete over the summer. Draco thoughts were running wild, never-ending, making him feel out of it, he was sure it was noticeable to the people around him, he knew Snape had realised something was up from his curious look during lesson, but the teacher never brought it up.
Once the lesson was over Harry and Draco made their way to the office and got a copy of his schedule. The rest of the day went by and suddenly it was 6pm, time for dinner in the Great Hall. The meal was the same as their last two of the day, comfortable silence while they ate. Harry not eating much but enough for the time being, just until Draco could hopefully strike up a conversation that would get him to open up even just a little bit.
At the end of the day the two took a slow walk back to their room, Harry disappearing into the connected bathroom while Draco stayed in the bedroom to get changed. He took a deep breath knowing that he had to start this difficult conversation soon.
