"There is no evil in sorcery. Only in the hearts of men."

Two months after Seraphina's fight with Sirius she finally gathered the courage to return. She still could not believe that Sirius genuinely thought Remus was a traitor simply because of his lycanthropy. Disappointment best described what she felt about him for coming to those conclusions.
Under normal circumstances Seraphina might have waited for Sirius to make the first move since he'd been the one to suggest that she should leave. Only their current situation was far from normal. It was impossible for Sirius to ever seek her out since he had no idea where she spent her days; if he did, they'd definitely have more things to fight about.
Seraphina also realised that she contributed to Sirius's outburst. This mission put her under an immense pressure but since it was essential for her survival that she kept her emotions at bay, Seraphina had no other choice than to push everything down.
Sirius on the other hand spent his days locked up in his flat, worrying about her and his other loved ones. The few times he ventured outside, it was mostly for Order missions that forced him to witness firsthand the destruction and pain caused by their enemies. Considering he'd never been particularly levelheaded, she probably shouldn't have taken his outburst to heart. But the universe clearly didn't want them to reconcile.
Taking a deep breath, Seraphina knocked on Sirius's door. Her fingers tapped against her leg nervously as she waited for him to open. A full minute passed. Seraphina knocked again, a bit more forcefully this time. It was around ten in the evening, so perhaps he'd fallen asleep?
Sighing in disappointment, Seraphina turned to walk away. These visits were becoming more and more dangerous for each passing day. With a spy within the Order, Seraphina feared that one miss-step – one little slip up where her name was mentioned in the wrong context – could be her undoing.
But just as Seraphina was about to disapparate, she changed her mind and walked back. Just one more try. Knocking on the door with more force than what would be considered polite, Seraphina hoped that if Sirius was inside, he'd at least hear it. Another minute passed. Then another.
Seraphina knocked again.
No response...
Realising that unless she wanted to break in, there was nothing else she could do now, Seraphina reluctantly left. Her mind immediately went to the worst case scenario – that something happened to Sirius. She may be the one in the snake pit, but Sirius may actually be in more danger than her. He'd openly fought against the Dark Lord on several occasions and was a famous blood-traitor. For as long as her cover remained intact, Seraphina was somewhat protected.
She could contact Dumbledore and ask. But by the time her Patronus reached him and he could respond, she'd likely have been forced to return to the Malfoy Manor again...
