You and the rest follow the lady to the 'sorrel weed house' and as you were walking.
You noticed that the horrid scent you smelled earlier was getting closer, and you started to slow down and then came to a stop.
'this smell.. it stinks..' you thought as you put a hand on your nose and turned your head up at the house.
'...Is it..-'
Your thoughts were soon interrupted by Taylor's voice calling out to you "y/n, You coming?" Making you immediately snap out of it.
You turn your head forward and you saw the others were waiting for you. "Oh, sorry... I'm comin'!"
You and the rest then reach the entrance of the house. The tour guide goes in first and you guys follow her.
"Welcome to the sorrel weed house!" The woman exclaimed as she stood in front of the stairs.
"So this is the foyer, Most everything in the house is original with the exception of the furniture and the paint on the wall." She explains then led us to one of the rooms.
You all entered one of the rooms and the lady stood beside a portrait with a man.
"This is the francis sorrel library and the man you see in this portrait is Robert E. Lee. lee was a dear friend of francis who visited the sorrel house quite often." The lady introduces the man in the portrait as she continues to speak.
"In the winter of 61-62, just before the great war, general lee used this room as his office. As far as spooky activities goes, This room seems to be the most calm. Not to say that there isn't any ghostly activities in here, but out of the entire house, i'd say it's milder-" she then gets cut off when her phone starts to ring and vibrate in her pocket.
When they took their phone out your eyes narrowed. '...What a familiar phone accessory.'
"Ah... Im so sorry, this is my emergency phone. I have to get this ill be right back, continue to look around if you want but dont touch anything." The lady says before walking out of the room. Leaving you guys alone.
"Well, That's super professional." Tyler says sarcastically as logan stood beside him.
"I don't think that's professional..." Logan spoke and Tyler looked down at him from the corner of his eyes.
"I was being sarcastic." Tyler tells him. Making logan's eyebrows raised in realization "...oh."
"Eh an emergency is an emergency." Taylor says as she shrugged then raised one of her fists as her eyes lit up with excitement again.
"it'll be more fun to explore on our own anyway!" Taylor says as logan does a little 'woo!' with his fist raised up as well from the background

You and the others then proceeded to look around the house. While you still struggled silently to ignore the smell.
You guys continue exploring ashlyn then stops walking to take one of her earplugs out and you immediately noticed this and turned around.
"Why is she wearing earplugs?" You hear Tyler asked and you shrugged, "ah! I thought they were wireless earbuds!" He says loudly and you noticed that Ashlyn flinched. 'does she have a sensitivity to sounds?'
"They're earplugs, i wear them because of my sensitivity to sounds-" she says and Aiden covered his mouth
"Oops, my bad. I thought they were for music" aiden says and you just turned your head away and continued walking without saying anything else, but then you noticed something.
'Did the smell just get stronger?' You stopped walking and turned your head back to ashlyn and your eyes widened to see a skinny black figure standing beside her.
A shiver immediately ran down your spine and you reached out for someone's hand without looking back and when you felt someone's arm you grabbed it and you heard tyler's voice.
"Huh? What do you wan-" he then cuts himself off when he sees the figure and due to him speaking everyone turns their head too and you hear taylor gasp and cover her mouth.
Everyone went silent and for a few seconds and ashlyn seemed to notice the sudden silence and turned around and her eyes widened to see you all scared.
"Ashlyn.. behind you.."
