Catching up to Angela I, stood behind her as she finished up her phone conversation.

"So you don't remember huh?" I asked as soon as she put her phone away.

Quickly looking up, Angela rolled her eyes. "No, sorry but I don't." She said trying to walk past me only for me to stop her.

"Ang, really? Like we lived next door to each other. We dated an entire summer. How can you not remember me?"

"I remember Marcellus Jackson. The guy that made me think he loved me only to take my virginity then after school started back, he acted as if I never excited and treated me like shit." Angela said looking at me with eyes that could kill.

"Ang look, I was in highschool. I made a lot of stupid mistakes back then." I said trying to apologize.

"Marcellus look, I'm over it. Life moves on and I'm much better now. So why don't we just keep it strictly business. We're not friends so let's keep it that." And with those words Angela walked pass me. I watched her walk away. She has changed a lot. Pulling out my phone, I looked at an old picture of us. I had to admit I missed her. After everything went down back then I regretted what I did. I've been living with that for all these years. I lost a good friend. I just know I gotta make this right.

"Everything ok?" Brooklyn asked. I had  almost forgotten about her.

"Yeah, everything's good." I said placing my arm around her waist. "Let's go get a drink." I said leading the way.

The entire night I watched as Angela mingled with the guests. It bothered me how she continued to avoid any and all contact with me. I watched her laugh and thought about her beautiful smile. I had to admit she was still fine as she was back then. And she had definitely grew into her body. Back in the day she was skinny as hell with a cute ass face. But now she was thick with curves. Not that I wanted to smash or anything. I just really wanted that friendship back.

I knocked back my whiskey sour and got up from the bar. "Excuse me, but can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked stepping between Ang and some dude.

"I'm sorry." Ang said as the guy excused himself.
"Marcellus what do you want?" Angela asked all annoyed.

"Damn, why you gotta be like that?" I asked playfully.

Huffing Angela rolled her eyes and turned to walk away. I quickly stopped her. "Look, I don't want no bad blood between us. I mean your company is now publishing my magazine. We have to deal with each other starting next week. I just want to put all this behind us. Is there any way you'll be willing to talk to me and let me apologize for what I did?" I asked sincerely.

"You got 2 minutes." She said folding her arms across her chest.

"Cool, that's all I need." I said smiling.
