I Don't Need A Quirk! (May Redo)

In the locker rooms Izuku was changing back into his school uniform when the rednette that he met in the halls earlier approached him. "Wow man! Your jacked!" Izuku chuckles while rubbing the back of his head. "Its nothing really, just a little training. Oh! I never introduced myself, Izuku Midoriya." Izuku says while sticking his hand out.

"Eijiro Kirishima!" Kirishima says accepting Izuku's handshake. "We should train together, that would be super manly!" Izuku smiles "That sounds fun."

Izuku arrived home to see a note on the door from Inko that said 'Working late. Left you dinner in the fridge. Should be back late, love you.' The Green Leaf Café had become a popular spot, and their financial situation had improved significantly. He was glad his mother no longer had to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet.

Izuku went inside and took out the bento, placed it in the microwave. Once that was done he sat and ate. Just as he was about to take his first bite, his tablet rang. He quickly wiped his hands and answered the call, his face lighting up when he saw Cathleen Bate on the screen. She was wearing a bathrobe and lying in bed.

"Hey, Cathleen!" Izuku greeted her, his eyes sparkling with happiness.

"Hey, Izuku! How was your day?"

Izuku took a bite of his dinner before answering, "It was pretty eventful. We had an Apprehension Test. Aizawa-sensei even threatened us with expulsion if we didn't give it our all. He's very strict, but I know he just wants us to be the best we can be."

Cathleen chuckled softly. "I can imagine. He has a reputation for being tough but fair. How did you do?"

Izuku's face lit up with excitement as he put down his chopsticks. "I actually scored number one!" he said unable to hide his pride. "It was really intense. We had to do all sorts of tests to measure our physical and Quirk abilities."

"That's amazing, Izuku! Tell me more about it," Cathleen encouraged.

"Well," Izuku began, "the first test was the 50-meter dash. I finished it in a flash. Then we had the grip strength test. I broke the machine!" He laughed, recalling the surprised looks on his classmates' faces.

Cathleen smiled "That must have been impressive to see."

"It was," Izuku agreed. "Next was the standing long jump. I leapt and landed on the school. After that, we had the repeated side steps, where I had to move quickly back and forth."

He paused, taking a sip of water before continuing. "The ball throw was my favorite. We had to throw a ball as far as we could using our Quirks. I had to hold back a little and the ball went flying out of sight and I scored Infinity! Aizawa-sensei seemed impressed, but he didn't show it much."

Cathleen nodded, clearly fascinated. "It sounds like you really pushed yourself."

"Not really," Izuku admitted. "At the end of the tests, Aizawa-sensei announced the rankings. When he said I was number one."

"I'm so proud of you, Izuku," Cathleen said softly. "You've come so far since we first met."

Izuku felt a warm glow in his chest at her words. "Thanks, Cathleen. Your one off the reason I keep pushing forward."

They talked for a while longer, sharing more details about their days and enjoying each other's company. Eventually, Cathleen had to go, and they said their goodbyes.

After ending the call, Izuku finished his dinner with a satisfied smile. He cleaned up the kitchen, then went to his room to study and prepare for the next day.

Class 1A just finished their math class and where eager to begin their last class, Heroics 101. "I wonder who will teach us, I hope its someone manly!" "I hope its Edgeshot, he's pretty cool" Jiro said while playing with her earphone jacks. "Maybe its Midnight!" "She teaches already, dumbass."

Suddenly the flings open. "I AM HERE, WALKING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!!" All Might shouts while marching into the classroom. Everyone erupts into awe and cheer. "No way!" "All Might is teaching us!?" "Is that his silver age costume?"

"HA HA HA HA!! Yes, its is I! Ready to teach your first Heroics 101 lesson!" All Might picks up a flash card that says 'Battle Training' on it, making a certain blonde grin. "Your first lesson will be indoor battle training! But what's a hero without their costume?" All Might pressed a button and the right wall opens, revealing several numbered briefcases. "Grab your hero costume and meet me in Ground Zone Beta!" All Might runs out the door.

After changing into their hero costumes they went to Ground Zone Beta. "They say the costume make the hero. AND YOU ARE THE RESULT!!" All Might yells as 1A walks out in their hero costumes.
