Ch. 1: End of the Summer

"Nothing except heart attacks.", Marshadow added.

"Shut up, Marshadow!", Gengar replied.

"The hell are you even doing eating Big Macs for breakfast, Gengar?", Umbreon asked.

"There is no bad time for Big Macs with some fries on the side!", said Gengar.

"How'd you even get Big Macs this early?", Umbreon asked.

"He's best friends with the guy who runs that Mcdonalds near our restuarant.", said Marshadow.

"Why am I not surprised?", said Umbreon.

"You and me both.", Marshadow replied.

"Alright, well, take care Marshadow", Umbreon said before walking again.

"Bye Umbreon.", said Marshadow.

Umbreon continued walking down the sidewalk, with the images of his nightmare starting to leave his mind. Maybe they were right. Maybe he was being too scared and paranoid. He thought to himself to just try his best to enjoy the school year.

"Who knows? Maybe something interesting may happen.", Umbreon thought.

Umbreon then turned a corner, and reached a part of his neighborhood where trees covered each side. Seeing this part of the neighborhood hit Umbreon with a wave of nostalgia, where he remembered him and Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon putting scary decorations a few Halloweens ago, which terrified some Trick-Or-Treaters that came to his block that night. It made Umbreon smile remembering that event.

Umbreon started to walk through the trees, and as he walked below an Oren Berry tree, he felt a berry fall on his head.

"OW, dammit!", Umbreon shouted.

"Oh, sorry man. Didn't see you there.", a voice from above said.

Umbreon looked up, and saw his other neighbor, Skarmory.

"Oh, it's just you Skarmory.", said Umbreon.

"Hey Umbreon, what's up?", said Skarmory.

"Ugh, fine I guess. What are you doing here?", Umbreon asked.

"Oh yeah, I'm kinda not allowed to eat breakfast in my own house anymore, all thanks to my stupid girlfriend.", said Skarmory.

"Oh Arceus, what did you do this time?", asked Umbreon.

"All I did was just blow up the microwave.", Skarmory casually blurted out.

"YOU BLEW UP YOUR MICROWAVE???!!! HOW?!", Umbreon yelled.

"All I did was heat up my instant ramen, along with the spoon.", said Skarmory.

"Why'd you heat up the spoon?! And why ramen for breakfast?!", Umbreon exclaimed.

"I like the metal spoon when its warm. Also, ramen is good for breakfast, trust me.", said Skarmory.

"Oh Arceus........Ok then.", said Umbreon.

"Is everything ok dude, you seem a bit stiff.", said Skarmory.

"Yeah, just dealing with some things now.", said Umbreon.

"What's wrong? Sad the summer's almost over?", said Skarmory.

"I guess, though it's something more as of now.", said Umbreon.

"Ah, ok man. Didn't mean to bug you out.", said Skarmory.

"No, no, it's ok. Uh, take care, Skarmory.", said Umbreon.

"You too, man.", said Skarmory before taking another huge bite out of another Oren Berry.

Umbreon walked away from the trees and eventually reached his house again. Once he reached the front door, he opened it, and was greeted by Flareon, cleaning up the kitchen.

"Hey, Bud! You alright?", Flareon asked.

"Yeah man, much better. So uh, you're not gonna believe this, but Skarmory blew up his microwave and he got kicked out of his house.", said Umbreon.

"Wow, honestly I'm not surprised. After all, he's the guy who got banned from the airport after getting into a fight with some crazy dad just because his baby was too loud on the plane.", said Flareon.

"Yeah, I know.", said Umbreon before going upstairs to his room.

Umbreon walked into his room and opened the curtains, staring outside into his neighborhood, realizing that despite all the problems he was currently facing, he thinks to himself, and realizes that his siblings were right. Maybe everything well be ok.

After realizing this, Umbreon turned on his TV and started playing video games, but as played, he couldn't help but notice small flashes on the screen about every minute.

"The hell? What's the hell's wrong with my TV?", Umbreon thought as he continued watching.

Moments later, the flashes became more and more frequent, and that's when Umbreon saw flashes of 6 Shiny Unown popping up on his screen, spelling out:

"NO MORE".

Umbreon rubbed his eyes, and then the flashes went away.

"Oh my Arceus, what is even happening anymore?", said Umbreon.

He brushed it off and continued playing video games, focusing on what was to come tomorrow.
