I put a baby picture of me, Kai, and Aston in the next chapter of Things We Hide From the Light before getting up to get ready for school, sadly.
Like every single morning, I connect my phone to my small purple JBL and start shuffle on my playlist. I go to the bathroom and start doing my morning routine as Fallen Star by The Neighborhood play through the speakers.
I put on a dark blue old, loose sweatshirt and some baggy cargos khaki pants with my white Air Forces before putting on mascara.
"Fox," Kaiden and Aston both walk into my room and stop at the bathroom doorway as they both suspiciously smile at me,
"Yes?" I pause drying my hair with my towel when I turn towards them,
"Can I borrow one of your jackets?"
"And can I do my makeup in here? Please?"
"Yea, that's fine with me." I swear under my breath as Aston puts down at least three makeup bags down and slowly looks at me,
"Don't worry about them, okay?" I slowly nod my head and continue drying my hair.
I put oil and some curl products through my hair before putting it in two messy buns with two small braids in the front.
By the time it's 7, I pause my music and put my glasses on while we all down downstairs to meet Denis and Royal in the kitchen drinking coffee and doing whatever adults do.
"Good morning, grannies."
"We are not that old," Royal looks at Denis before looking back at us, "Well, I'm not, at least."
"I'm only 6 months older than you."
"Fox is 2 months older than me and look at her." Kaiden immediately hides behind Aston before I have the chance to smack him.
Motherfucker.
"What do you guys want for breakfast?"
"I'm feeling cereal," Aston goes to the fridge and takes a gallon of milk out.
"I can have cereal too,"
"I want tacos," Kai sits at the table as we all look at him confused, "What? It's Tuesday. You know, Taco Tuesday?"
"We can have tacos for dinner then, as long as everyone helps."
"Can't we buy it instead?" Aston gives Kai his bowl of Lucky Charms and starts eating her own bowl of the cereal.
"No, end of discussion. Eat your food." Royal kisses Aston on the cheek and goes upstairs to finish getting ready.
We ate breakfast with the familiar conversations we have every morning and finished getting ready for school.
We finished earlier than usual so, us three decided to walk. Well, Kaiden and Aston decided to walk, I skated behind them to make they're safe.
When me and Kai got to our usual table after hanging out with Aston, we're met by Maxi sitting at the table herself on her phone, wearing a tight, short black dress with really long sleeves and white high tops with her newly dyed light brown and pink hair.
