I looked at the sales woman, but didn't feel comfortable to tell her about the dress. Jason saw that I struggled and asked: "do you have this dress in size large or medium?", he held up one of the sunset colored clothes I went through before.
"I'm very sorry, these are all the dresses we have here. We don't have any more in store yet. However, in one week there will be more sizes ordered then, my apologies", she answered.
Heavily sighing I gazed at the floor. I didn't want to wait. I wanted the dress in my size now. I could take a dress in small size and one in XL, go into the fitting room, change my body, so I would fit the dresses, but then it could be weird, if I bought one of them afterwards. The sales woman would know that they didn't had my size and that none of these dresses fit me. I didn't want to confuse anyone like that. Avoiding drawing attention on me in that way was important. I couldn't do that.
I would have pretty photos then, though. Maybe I could do that when we had more privacy. I didn't want the sales woman to wait infront of the fitting room, while I was trying on dresses inside, at least not when I didn't intend to buy any. I thanked the sales woman for the information."I could offer you some similar dresses in your size", she said, viewing me. I just nodded and she turned around, went to a booth and held up a long black dress with a design of white feathers. It seemed pretty but I wasn't happy. It was too dark.
"Alright... What about... This one?", the sales woman pointed at a blue and brown dress with a branches design. It was similar to the dress I wanted but I sighed again. I didn't like it.
We went further through the store, the sales woman asked another sales woman a few things. The other sales woman had short red hair and a black shirt and simple black skirt. She briefly explained something to the other and we walked towards a shelf with shirts and long dresses. Quickly the sales woman with the curly black hair pulled out a light green dress with a yellow leaf design. I shook my head."Maybe if you tried on a dress, you could think differently about it?", she questioned.
"If I don't like it on the clothes hanger, I won't like it on myself either", I replied tiredly.
"Okay...", the sales woman realised that I didn't had much patience left and would leave soon, so she had to get something, which I really liked.
Carefully she went through the other dresses at the wall and finally pulled out a short dress with sunset colores and a black feather design. It was shorter than the one I wanted and without the branches nor grass design but pretty similar, so I called: "yeah, that could fit." It was still noticable in my voice that I wasn't really motivated.
The sales woman smiled, handed me the dress and we went to the fitting rooms.
