It was Thursday night and the NFL Choices started in a couple of hours. Bethany was putting on the finishing touches of her stunning outfit. She was wearing a silk black dress that went down to her ankles paired with some simple black heels. Brock was wearing a black tux and since the two were going together they decided to match. Bethany accessorized her dress with some gold bracelets and some simple make up with  red lipstick. She did her hair in a slicked back ponytail making sure there were no fly aways. When she was sure she was ready she went out into the living room where Brock was waiting for her.

"I'm ready."

Brock stood up from where he was sitting on the couch and turned to face Bethany with his jaw dropped.

"Oh my gosh... Bethany, my girl, you look absolutely gorgeous."

"Thank you Brock. You look very handsome yourself."

"Thank you. Shall we?", Brock holds out his arm for Bethany to take.

Bethany links her arm with Brocks and they make their way to the limo that was waiting to take them to the award ceremony.

Brock and Bethany arrive at the award ceremony immediately welcomed by the blinding flashes of cameras. Brock grabs Bethany's hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze.

"You ok?"

"Yep, just not used to this."

"I get that. I'm right here."

Bethany smiles at Brock as they make their way to the red carpet. They pose for the cameras and eventually move onto where some interviewers are.

"Brock, Bethany, over here!", a cheery interviewer calls out.

Brock and Bethany make their way over to the interviewer.

"Well, I have to start off congratulating the both of you on your careers and of course your nominations tonight!"

"Thank you.", Brock and Bethany say in unison.

"So, Bethany. How has it been working for the 49ers?"

"It's been the best experience of my life. I'm surrounded by so many amazing people that I'm proud to call my family now and I just couldn't ask for anything better."

"Aw, I'm so glad to hear that! Now, Brock. How does it feel from being known as Mr. Irrelevant to being considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL?"

"It's all still like a dream. I definitely couldn't have done it without this one. She's gotten me through some tough times. But, yeah it's all still so unreal."

"Aw, that's sweet. Well, congratulations again and good luck tonight!"

Brock and Bethany say their thank yous and make their way into the award ceremony.

The awards were well underway and were going great!

Brock had won the award he was nominated for and touched the hearts of everyone in the audience with his speech. Of course Bethany was trying her best to not full on sob. That man really has a way with words.

It was the last category of the night.

Bethany's category.

The announcer made her way onto the stage and then stood behind the podium. She said a few inspiring words, named off the nominees, and eventually began to open the envelope she had in her hand.

"And the winner is..."

I didn't win.

"Bethany Davids!"

Bethany's mind went blank.

She just won the award.

She was voted better than everyone else.

Holy shit.

Brock immediately stood from his seat cheering along with everyone else around them. Bethany stood up still in a haze but was brought out of it when an all too familiar pair of lips met hers. She pulled away and locked eyes with Brock who had the biggest smile on his face.

"You did it baby!"

Bethany couldn't muster up any words and just smiled at the love of her life. As he led her to the stage.

Bethany made it up the steps (somehow not tripping), received her award, and made her way to the podium.

Let's do this.
