LAST CHAPTER OF THE DAY, ENJOY😘
Aaliyah was immersed in her work when she heard the soft chime of the front desk bell. She looked up to see a young woman with a bright smile and an air of confidence standing there.
"Hi, I'm Jayda. I'm here to see Dayvon," the woman said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Aaliyah nodded, pushing back her chair and rising to her feet. "I'll let him know you're here. Please wait a moment."
As she walked towards Dayvon's office, Aaliyah couldn't help but wonder who Jayda was and why she needed to see Dayvon. Knocking lightly on the door, she stepped inside to find Dayvon deep in a phone conversation. He glanced up, and Aaliyah gestured towards the door.
"There's a Jayda here to see you," she mouthed.
Dayvon raised an eyebrow but held up a finger, signaling her to wait. A few moments later, he ended the call and looked at her expectantly.
"Jayda?" he asked, curiosity evident in his voice.
"Yes, she's waiting at the front desk," Aaliyah replied.
Dayvon sighed, glancing at the stack of papers on his desk. "I'm really busy right now, tell her to come back after the lunch break."
Dayvon was preoccupied with meetings and deadlines, leaving him unable to meet Jayda at that moment. Sensing Aaliyah Jayda kindly offered to take her out for lunch instead.
As Aaliyah and Jayda settled into a cozy corner of the cafe, their conversation flowed effortlessly.
"So, how's your brother?" Aaliyah asked, sipping her coffee.
Jayda chuckled, a playful grin quirking at the corners of her lips. "Oh, you know Dayvon," she replied. "He's always got a hundred things on his plate, but he's managing."
Aaliyah nodded, her curiosity coming to the surface. "He seems pretty serious at work," she remarked, her brow furrowing in confusion. "But then he's a completely different person outside of the office."
Jayda laughed, a knowing twinkle in her eye. "Yeah, he's always been like that," she said. "It's like he's got two completely different sides to him."
As their conversation turned to Dayvon, Jayda leaned in conspiratorially, her eyes sparkling with mischief
"You know, Dayvon has always been a bit of a player," she confided. "He's been a hoe since high school."
Aaliyah's eyebrows shot up in surprise, acting like she didn't know "Really?" she asked." I already knew lol " Aaliyah thinks.
Jayda nodded emphatically. "Oh. But I've also noticed the way talks about you" she added with a knowing smile.
"Trust me, Aaliyah, the way he's been acting lately? He probably likes you."
