(Tw: slurs used)
Billy and Steve hadn't seen each other for 2 weeks after what happened. Billy was home alone as Max had gone to meet up with her friends again, and his father and Miss Mayfield had gone out. He was in the living room, watching tv. He had been upset with himself after what he did. He still had no clue why he did it. He wasn't a faggot, was he? He couldn't be. He hated those kinds of people after all. Steve probably did, too... Everyone did, after all, except for those people themselves. Neil had made it very clear he would kill Billy if he ever turned out to be someone like that.
Steve had also been confused the past 2 weeks. Did Billy like him? Or not? Steve already knew he was probably bi, but did this confirm that? And was Billy bi? Or gay..? He couldn't possibly know for sure. All this thinking had kept him up a lot. Steve hadn't been getting a lot of sleep because of this, so he decided (Robin had decided after they talked about it) that he would just go ask Billy.
After scrambling all of his confidence together, he got in his car and drove over to Billy's.Billy hears the doorbell go and three knocks on the door right after. He sighs as he gets up, thinking it's mail or a salesperson or something. He's surprised to see Steve fiddling with the hem of his shirt when he opens the door. "Hey Billy." His voice cracks a bit. "Can we talk somewhere?" "uhm, sure. Come in, I'm home alone." Billy steps aside to let Steve pass. He takes a deep breath in as he closes the door and follows Steve to the living room. He sits on the couch, and soon Steve sits down next to him. "You can probably guess what I want to talk about." Steve begins before Billy blurts out: "I don't know why I did it. I swear I'm not a fag or anything." Steve is taken aback by Billy's statement. "So...you, uh, don't like me?", "Absolutely not, not like that! I'm not one of those people." Billy tries to reassure Steve even though he's not even sure about this himself. "Ah... Alright, that's cleared up then." Steve answered in a monotone voice, trying to hide his disappointment. He secretly hoped Billy would have said he did like him. He got up and walked towards the front door. Billy quickly jumped up and grabbed Steve's arm. "Where are you going?", "I guess you don't want to see me anymore." Steve gives Billy a stern look. "I do like you just not like that!" Billy frowns in frustration. "No, Billy. I don't think you want to hang out with 'my kind' of people!" Steve barks out at Billy. By hearing this, Billy's mouth falls slightly agape as he stares at Steve for a second. "You're...?", "I'm bi, Billy." Steve says as if ending the conversation. He turns around towards the front door again, but Billy pulls him back. "Bi? What's that?" He asks, his voice as low as a whisper. "I'm not gay. I still like girls, but I also like guys..." Steve explains as he sighs. "Oh, that's a thing? I didn't know... Look, I have nothing against... you know, that kind of people." Steve scoffs: "Sounds like you do, Billy", "No! I guess I just... I don't know... followed my father's opinion blindly? He kind of forces me to live like himself." Steve relaxes and sighs. "Oh, I see.", "I promise I... well, I'm not against it, I guess. I will have to get used to it, however, and my father can never find out!", "I understand." Steve's smiles softly, "but you don't like me, so uh... Why'd you kiss me?" Steve asks, demanding answers. Robin had told him not to let anyone play with his feelings again as so many girls had done. "I... I don't know...", "You did it for a reason, what was it? Did you want to?" Billy thinks for a second. "I guess...? I'm not sure.", "would you like to do it again?" Steve asks curiously. "Uhm, I don't know... Maybe...?" Steve sighs. "If you're not going to be clear about this, I think I should leave. No offence, but I'd like you to figure yourself out first." Steve once again starts going for the front door before his back hits the wall. Billy had pinned him against the wall, cupping the back of his head to not hurt him. Steve suddenly felt Billy's face pressed against his. The blonde boy's lips pried his open to give a deep kiss. Steve allowed this and deepened the kiss himself. Billy used his free hand to grip the other's waist tightly. His tongue licked at Steve's lips, asking to be let in. Steve puts his arms around Billy's neck and allows his tongue entrance. Their tongues enter a dance, moving around each other. Billy leans back to breathe and looks deep into Steve's eyes. Steve smiles. "Now that is a clear answer." he chuckles. Billy smiles at this response. "I sure hope it is." He chuckles and blushes. Steve gives Billy a tight hug, resting his head on the smaller boy's shoulder. He sighs as he relaxes into the hug. Billy hugs back and smiles, not having had a hug in a long time. Hugging Steve, he felt something hard press against his thigh. He looks down, and Steve immediately pulls back. "Fuck, uh... Sorry I-", "Don't worry, Stevey. Happens to us all." He shrugs teasingly. "Oh, shut up!" Steve looks away, blushing. "I should get going, I think." He points at the door. "Oh, you don't need that taken care of?" Billy answers nonchalantly. Steve's eyes widen as Billy smirks at him, clearly teasing. "I mean... I wouldn't mind, like at all but-" Before he can finish his sentence, Billy pulls him into his room.
