Lavender's POV:-
He forced a smile, hoping that his words were enough to satisfy my question without delving into the messy truth."Same here! You changed me completely. But you know right we graduating next mouth?" I pouted being sad.
Jungkook's heart sank again at the realization that graduation was just around the corner. He had dreaded this day, knowing that it would signal an end to their precious time together.
"Yeah... I know."
His voice was soft and laced with sadness, his mind consumed with thoughts of the future and what it held for their relationship.
"It's hard to believe it's almost over. But we'll still keep in touch, right? We're friends, after all."
"Yes of course! But you know I have to go to my hometown after graduation...." I said being sad.
His heart ached at my words, the reality of the situation hitting him like a ton of bricks. Graduation meant that I would be returning to my hometown, putting physical distance between us.
He nodded, forcing a smile despite the growing unease in his chest.
"I understand. You have your own path to follow. I'm still proud of how far you've come."
"How will I live without your funny ass??" I fake cried.
He chuckled softly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Despite the heartache he felt, he couldn't resist making a joke, trying to lighten the mood.
He reached out and ruffled my hair, a cheeky smile on his face.
"Well, I guess you'll have to survive with the memories of my annoying banter. And who knows, maybe I'll even send you some annoying messages to keep you entertained."
"But still..." I said.
His smile faded slightly as he saw the sadness in my eyes.
"I know it's tough to think about it. But hey, we've got some time left before graduation. We'll make the most of it, okay? And who knows, maybe we'll find a way to stay in touch, even if we'll be physically apart."
"Hm.... What about you though?" I asked.
Jungkook shrugged, trying to sound nonchalant despite the heaviness in his chest. He knew he would miss you terribly once you left.
"Me? Oh, I'll be fine. I've got plans, you know. Probably gonna start a career or something boring like that."
He chuckled softly, masking his true feelings behind his carefree facade.
"Like are you going to join your dad's business or start your own. What is your plan after graduation?" I asked.
Author's POV:-
He hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. He'd never discussed his plans with anyone other than his parents, and sharing them felt strangely intimate. He took a deep breath, opening up to mw, revealing a part of himself he had kept hidden.
"Well, actually, my dad has been pushing me to join his business. He says it's the best move. But I'm not sure if that's what I want. I've been thinking about starting my own business, something new, something different."
"Then you can definitely do that! Do what you like not what others say." You said encouraging him.
Jungkook felt a wave of warmth wash over him at your words of encouragement. It meant a lot to him, knowing that you believed in him and supported his dreams.
He smiled softly, his eyes locking with mine as he spoke.
"Thanks. I guess you're right. It's just that... It's always been expected of me to follow in his footsteps, you know? Stepping out on my own seems scary."
