A week later,
Reign was at the mall again, it was fall break she had already gotten her nails done and went to the tanning bed. She had spent most of her day in Scottsdale and had lunch with Xander.
As she was leaving the upper level of the mall she called Claire.
"Hey sweetie it's almost dinner time you heading home?" Claire said
"Yeah not alot of sales right now. I'm heading down the stairs to go to the entrance. I will be home soon." She said
"Ok baby love you. Be safe." Claire said
"I will love you." Reign said and hung up.
She as she stepped off the last step, three men began to shoot up the foyer around the stairs. Reign was hit 3 times, one of them was a graze on her arm. She fell to the floor as she heard screams, shots and shattered glass as she fell unconscious.
Bucky was across the street at the bar with Keely when they all heard the commotion of sirens, and people screaming. Bucky went outside just as Reign was being wheeled out on a stretcher.
"Reign?" He whispered
He went back inside told Keely he had to leave and got in his car to drive home. Bucky arrived at the hospital just as he saw his aunt Delilah and his dad talking to Claire and Vince. He stayed hidden but close enough for him to still hear.
"She was hit three times, one was from what I can tell a graze on her arm. But I'm gonna have to go in to remove the bullet from her stomach while James carefully removes the one in her collarbone.." Delilah said
"Nothing appears to be broken or shattered." James said
"She will make a full recovery." Delilah said as Vince signed consent forms.
"Do what you have to. I trust you two" Claire said
"Ok..we will keep you updated as much as we can until we are done. You know how this works Claire." James said
"Yeah.." she said
"This is our nurse Lydia she will be keeping you updated when we have updates for you." James said and they walked off.
Bucky looked down. "Please be ok Reign" he thought as he left.
